What an amazing group. Annie and I had an amazing trip. There is a sense of community that has been built here. Thank you for letting me be apart of it.

As many of you are, Annie and I are on the road for another week. Let me know if anyone would like to tag along on the Holy Cross trail next Thursday. It will be our last trail before heading home. Take care and safe travels!

Glad you made it home Casey and everyone else. We pulled in and got unloaded about 90 minutes ago.

Only 358 days to get ready for SASX … which might include a little welding for me.

Nah Jim, get everything working as it should. That patina tells a story and she has earned every bit of it.

1968/9! We’re going full stock on this bad boy, down to the bias ply tires. Building it the way Toyota would have delivered it into the world.

@POTATO LAUNCHER just enough welding to make things work. That rear sill needs addressed so the doors close and the lift gate meets them properly. The rest of the patina stays, even the lichen growing on the grille.

I didn’t realize that any other year had the rectangle reverse light. I agree with Potato Launcher. Weld in some structural pieces and keep the patina. I wish that I had.

You’ve got the reverse light situation backwards. 😁

I will join everyone else that that expressed thanks to everyone that played a roll in putting on this event, Thank you! I had some long days, met some new people and time flew so fast. Glad to meet new friends and happy to see old ones. I look forward to next year.

I made it home safely just to turn around and head back to the area today for work. Stopped in Durango for pizza and have the joy of watching people stop a look at the 45. It seems It might have made it into a few folks vacation pictures.

Hope to see you all next year. The cruiser will be ready to take your temperature. One person at least and you know who you are.

The Toyota community is like no other !!

That being said IMO if you drive a SA Toyota you shouldn’t leave home without a 54mm hub socket !
Just saying 😎
They're a bit awkward in most compact tool rolls/bags, but you can set them over the top of the jack in the factory spot and you lose no room!

Mine’s much shorter and I slide over my socket set.
Happy to lone it out 😎
It’s always in the rig.

Allan, thanks for letting me know about my coolant leak. Every t-bolt clamp had come loose and it looks like the nylon in my locknuts melted, which is not surprising. I was very close to losing a lower hose. I will replace the hardware with something different when I get home.

Big thanks to @CenTXFJ60 and @drenmaster for letting us tag along up Poughkeepsie Gulch!

If you happened to see a voodoo blue 1st gen 4Runner, a very happy looking fellow waving frantically, or possibly neither, your cruiser may have been photographed. I have dumped my photos in an album here. Also marmots, flowers, dogs, a Baja Bug, and a Cub Cadet.
