Following Mike can be hazardous to your health ... but you'll have fun
Had some very Good Teachers, a guy with this big long white thing got me started and almost killed, @Domofthedead who will NEVER take the easy line, me always following it.
But there are some very experienced and good wheelers at the SAS that I know of and some I don't. Nothing really hard out there, though. Wet/moist Poughkeepsie the more challenging one. Remember someone who wouldn't do Sidney Basin again hmmm, I guess a steep drop off and of camber in mud doesn't excite.

Clarification, big long white thing = LongCruiser and @Inukshuk

Excuse me sir, this is a family friendly event. We're gonna have to ask you to put that thing away.

Did the Sydney basin off camber trail that loops back around once but never again.

I did Sydney Basin trail for the first time last year. That off camber section was freaking some of the group out. We all made it just fine going slow. I don’t feel like I need to do that section again. I would go into the basin again but turn around and head back out the way we entered.

We got to the top part where it goes down and noped right around...
Novice trail leader (me) leading some newbs and had not been down them parts.

Been on it twice it’s not that bad. The issue is if you come across someone coming the opposite direction or worse a group 😳
To be fair I run the some of the hardest trails the west has to offer and I’m very comfortably with my rig 😎

Always better to caution to the safe side especially if any ones uncomfortable!!

There were a few other factors but I get your drift. I've never been accused of being terribly smart but I'll take safe.
We actually discovered @OlYellr Bryan's gnarly frame crack up there IIRC...
My avatar was from up there-ish.

Good lord I can't wait to be back...

I know, I can't wait to get there either - frame repaired (thx @solomrus) - few minor things to do compared to last year. We though your tcase was leaking too while there.

I'm starting to think about trails to hit as a leader this year

Didn't the Cruis-her trip go that way last year? I seem to recall Erik @Plains Cruiser showing me some snaps he took of it...

Yeah, that's right. That was weird.

Paul is getting dressed for the dance this year:
