Been wanting to attend this event since it started, pretty excited it’s gonna happen. Thanks to the guys who unfortunately allowed me a spot as I was on the waiting list and didn’t expect it would happen this year.

Just gotta button this up by tomorrow morning and I’ll be ready.

Huge shout out to @3_puppies in Helena MT for helping out @ElviMcCoy on his way to SAS!!!! @ElviMcCoy lost a smog bypass pully in MT and was stranded. Luckily @3_puppies was 45 mins from him and HAD THE PART!

@3_puppies has every part, I swear.

Made it to the Flat Tops last night and our favorite spot was open. In the morning realized we didn’t have 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee and that I was out of smokes. Uh oh!

Took the Transfer Trail down to Glenwood Springs - skipped the big ledge hill. I would feel fine doing it with a spotter, but there’s two spots that my 33s need to be in exactly the right spot and I didn’t trust myself to nail those once I was rolling.

Back to the Flat Tops tonight, then to Ouray tomorrow. Drive safe y’all, and keep the rubber side down.

Great for @3_puppies for being available with the part. This dog gone part is a major weak point. My pulley for the smog pump eliminator also broke 3 days ago…2nd time for me. The original lasted only 2 years & this replacement that just went out lasted 5 years. Luckily I had a spare & was back on the road quickly.

Feel naked w/o a spare now. These are bad pulleys, where the belt touches is metal BUT the main part of the pulley is plastic & prone to disintegrate. Spoke with Brandon at Classic Cruisers yesterday, he wasn’t sure if he had one, but if he does, he will bring it on Sunday.🙏🙏🙏

never mind, they changed their minds 🤷🏽
When I registered and booked an RV site, Jeff (the owner/manager/or whatever) told me that we could even put a tent on the side of our RV site.

Are they are square now?

I really need to try and register for this event next year, Especially since I now live just 40 miles away. :)

Made it to Colo Springs. Going to take an early Ballon ride then head up over 70 mid morning. Got some coolers to deliver.

That explains why we never crossed paths again today (we were in the sage 80). But possibly cross paths tomorrow again (we are spending the night in Golden as that is about all the sitting my back can take in one stretch). Then a fresh day to tackle Eisenhower and Vail!

Cool, figured you were on here! I have about a 600 mile range on fuel, so may have passed you when you were fueling. Nice 80! Almost brought mine.

3pup showed up at the Motel I was stranded at in Deer Lodge at 640am this morning. With tools. And a brand new Jim C pulley. And his lab Augie who is such a good boy. I was on my way in under an hour. Which is critical because I’ve got a FJ60 full of bourbon related raffles items and custom labeled bottles of Woodford and Four Roses for the raffle. I think I’m in Idaho presently. Pocatello? Fished the Madison and Hebgen Lake today.

Can’t thank @3_puppies enough. And CD for the connection. Last Chance Land Cruisers in Helena for all your used parts needs!!!!!!
