This beauty broke in half up too last summer almost destroying my big tractor. This year you could tell it wasn’t going to do well so we had dozer remove it with our intent to build some things out of it.

We hope to build a mantle, small table or nightstands and whatever else we can do. The wife did see the base of another tree used as pedestal for table and that may be another option.

I hope you save that beautiful old saloon! Looks like it will need new sills and a little structural work, but definitely worth saving! If you ever need input or someone to bounce ideas off, feel free to reach out. I regularly deal with historic mining camp architecture both as a carpenter and architectural historian.

Wow, that reclaimed skip planed red oak horse fence planking must be very comfortable.
Apparently so 😆. It is the first place they come in to lay after being out in the heat.

Got the finish put on today. Osmo hard wax oil.
