Drove up to Bowman lake in Glacier for some primitive camping. Bowman lake is somewhat remote, its 20 miles from the park entrance on mostly gravel roads to Polebridge and then another 8 on a very narrow rough gravel road through the forrest. It's only a few miles from the Canadian border. Had an excellent supper at the restaurant at polebridge (small cottage I had the buffalo burger and she had a steak salad.

be careful too many cheeries give you cherry butt and that's not fun. Great pics love the people in them and that rig, what's under the hood look like? Have you checked the transmission fluid and transfer case oil lately?

Wish I read this message before I ate both bags :( copilot isn't happy with me. Checked the fluid in Missouri and it doesn't appear to be moving fluid anymore. I did clean the breather on the tcase before I left so not sure if that's all it needed or ny hose is acting more like a breather and has equalized the pressure.

Driving south of Jackson hole is very scenic you can see the rain coming from miles away. I stopped in to visit the guy I bought my cruiser from back in 2010 and he couldn't believe how different it was.

Stop, you are keeping me awake. I'm trying to put this iPad down, it's 1am!

Great adventure!

Back to some TECH I'm not too impressed with the mileage its getting 19 mpg on the freeway and 22 off the freeway I was expecting a bit better but oh well. I think I'm going to put the 4.11 gears back in as well I'm not crazy about the gear spread. Oh and looks like I'm going to pull the head and slap a head gasket on it when I get home. Noticed this leak. It's not overheating and hasn't even ran the over flow reservoir dry yet so I'm hoping it will hold for the ride home. Looks like the increased head pressure found a weak spot. At least I will get a look at the precups and go ahead and take care of them if needed.

Sell me you 3.70s? Looking for some. I'm just up the highway from Huntsville.

cool pics

Very very nice pics, thank you for sharing..

If you put 3.70s instead for 4.11s your highway experience will improve.

I think before you get an aircon in your car give the engine an intercooler. It will get you a few more horses and slightly better fuel average.

And I must say you are a brave man. Driving such a high center of gravity vehicle at 80 MPH need some serious ticker.

That's where I cruise mine. So long as all suspension and steering is tight it's very comfy (though thirsty. I get 14.5 mpg at 80)

I suspect you'd struggle to see 19 with 4:11 in there Roma.

Getting closer to Santa Fe-are we going to have a beer this time? I'm camping Sat and Sunday north of town but home Sunday afternoon.

Love the Tetons: lived there as a kid and asked my wife to marry me there in my troopy.
