I hated every minute of this

I guess the plan is to build a new tcase hump.

I am going to try to keep the stock gas tank in the stock location.

I guess I will cut into the tank and reweld it.

I haven't seen anyone else modify the stock tank but I am sure it has been done.

If anyone has modified their stock tank please let me know.

I dont want to put a fuel cell in the back.

built a hood for the upper shock mounts to stiffen it up, but again it was totally unnecessary. I am my own worst enemy.

Nice work. You won't regret stuff like that. I'm jeleous of your work.:beer:

I feel your pain, I wanted to modify my tank but copped out and bought a cell instead. I think you will have to get the tank baked to get the fuel out of the pores of the metal so you can get a good weld that seals.

I am trying to stay as low as possible and the tcase is above floor about 5 inches

I went with a 2" body lift so all my gearcases would fit with minimal pounding.

H42/RockBox/Orion 3:1/Twin sticks, etc.

I didnt even think about baking the tank, thanks for the tip

pics tonight or tomorrow

I am not using my old tank because it was lined a couple of years ago and there is no need to tear it up

grabbed a fj45 tank

DSCN2206.jpg

decided to use this late model tank because of the emision lines I will use for a fuel return and vents
