Stinger fab cont... Picture aren't in order. Stinger is approx 22" from bumper to the top of bend. The stinger sits a little high but I thought it came out ok. Would of liked to of made the stinger a bit smaller. Tied the stinger into the bumper for bracing. Later I might tie the stinger into the exo cage ???.....

While welding, several pieces of slag slipped through all of my protective clothing and burnt through my shorts and I dont have to tell you where it landed. None the less I have a couple of burn/scabs on my bucockie.

A few years back I was dying for a set of those tires - couldn't find them anywhere affordable. That's a sick sick sick deal!

How much were the Alcan's with Orbit eyes - if you don't mind me asking?

I can't remember how much the orbit eye was because I got them awhile back in a previous set of springs. The shame of it is they weld the orbit eye inside one leaf within the spring pack and I wasnt patient enough so I cut them out and springs are in the scrap pile...

Without the orbit eye they were approx 230 a piece..

Rear corners

Started working on the rear quarters. Plan on moving the axle back 8" to 10" hopefully. I originally replaced the rear sill (cancer) and quarters. Also re-enforced the sill with plate in order to drill and tap for the hinges on the homemade drop down tailgate. I never finished the quarters, just threw some paint on them and some diamond plate corners to cover up my s***ty body work. Nothing a cut off wheel cant take care of...

Used the circumference of a big funnel for the corners. Also pictured is some light gage aluminum diamond plate I picked up on the cheap. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any dull finish so I had to get the shiny stuff. I plan on bending the diamond plate around the corners and then putting some duraback lining or something on the cheap.

Also pictured is the templet that was traced out after the quarters were cut.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After mounting the bracket I decided to outboard the springs. Of course that meant the bracket mounting surface wasn't enough so I braced em up. I wish I could get it right the first time, that would be nice

Fabbed some shackle hangers from some 2x4. I wanted the welding service to be on the bumper and the frame. Used two inch OD quarter wall DOM for the poly bushing. Tapped the DOM for a zerk fitting and drilled a hole on the bottom of the 2x4 for grease access. The springs are going to hang off the end about 4 inches but it should be ok other then the cosmetic look...
