Went to Moab in October and realized building a dual purpose truck was not so smart. Won't bore anyone with lots of Moab pics. Last day on Pritchett Canyon sheered off two knuckle studs right before rocker knocker or at least that's when i noticed it. Also beat up the swing away on the escalator. It's time to lose some weight get some width and ad some length

The plan now is to stretch the rear about 10 inches and push the front up around 7 inches. Also going to get some width on the axles. I plan on building a jig and getting an alignment bar to assist in the width mods, we shall see..

Started with dropping the rear tank and the swing away. I used to carry approx 40 gal of fuel and had a transfered fuel from one tank to another. Also had a switch that would give readings from the seperate fuel tanks sending units. Also removed the rear cross member in preperation of boxing the rear. Starting to lose some weight

That's a ton of flex. I remember reading about those orbit eyes and thinking they had a ton of potential.

Did you ever have problems with the suspension unloading while going down hills with those scissor shackles?

Started boxing in the rear. First I welded in some angle to keep the frame in shape. Since I will be cutting the quarter panels back for the stretch, I am going to leave the angle for my rear body mounts. Removed the cross member. I forgot how much I hate the rivots in the Toyota frames. Grinded the head of then air chiseled them out..
