Most online tire calculators put 285/75R/18's right around 35". ???

The wife's 100 has 285/75/18 BFG's and they're nowhere near 35" tall. When I measured them new I think they were 33.5" @ 40 psi.
I wasn't aware BFG made a tire in 285/75R18. Can you double check?

285/75/18 = 34.8". Just do the math.

Thanks for checking. There's only a handful of tires in the 285/75R18 size. I'm hoping for more in the future. The ones I know about:

Manufacturers specs: unloaded diameter 35.1"
Toyo MT
Good Year MTR-K
Maxxis MT-762

Manufacturers specs: unloaded diameter 34.8"
Toyo AT & ATII
Nitto Terra Grappler G2

All the tires I can remember measuring have been true to the manufacturers specs (not the specs on the sidewall including floatation sizes). How are you measuring these tires?

My method would be:
-new tire mounted to the rim/wheel, inflated to proper pressure
-no extra weight on tire/rim (i.e. not mounted to vehicle)
-wheel standing up against wall, then straight edge to tallest part of the tire, usually the center of the tread

If this is the same method you use, which 315 tires have you measured to be 32 inches?

Hey guys, just reading through the thread tonight and want to make sure I get the right spacers for my 2000 LC with no lift. I picked these up this afternoon that I found on craigslist so hoping everything works right. These 1.25" spacers are the only ones I found on SLEE. Plan on ordering a set for the front and the rear. I want to use the TRD center cap so from what I'm reading, the caps will fit if I use spacers?

Here's the link for the spacers. Getting the top right for the front and bottom right for the rear. A lot of damn money for spacers but I want to make sure it's right and can use the center caps.

Got what I thought was a pretty good deal on tires and wheels. Came off a 2013 Tundra and tires are around 70% tread left.

Yes those are the ones you need.

Not sure why the front has the 'tines' vs a solid machined area there but those are the spacers I have, but have not yet installed.

Thank you, sir. I was hoping Slee would be open today but no such luck. I'll order them Monday morning and hope I can get them by end of next week. I'm going to flip black wall out and pull my running boards, biting at the bit to see the results. I'm running 265/70/16's now and comparing the RW wheels and tires to the old ones, huge difference. Wife is complaining about me taking the running boards off but she'll have to get over it. I don't like crawling out of her IS350 either but I don't tell her to lift it :) I'm going to keep my 16" stock wheels for a while just till I know I like the ride of these but when I sell them, any idea what would be a good asking price? Tires are about 50% and doubt anyone will want the tires so they'll mostly be buying the wheels. Is there a lot of people looking for the 16" rims?

Got my RW on today. Really happy with them. Going to pull the running boards this weekend but I think they even look good with them

I like them both ways but for now going to keep the rings on

Remove the rings and you'll leave 12 exposed holes where the fasteners would be. Not worth it IMO, which is why I left them on mine.
10ga: how much did the rims with tires run you? Congrats on the purchase!

My thoughts were to install button head bolts to give them a finished look. Not my idea something I saw and I liked the cleaner look without the ring.:meh:

What is the benefit of these wheels (besides spacing)?

I agree, like them the way they are. Got wheels and tires for $600

option for some decent sized 17" tires - specifically Toyo Open Country AT in 285/75/17!!! :bounce: More readily available than the scarecer-than-hen's-teeth OEM Land Cruiser 17" alloys...
