Back from SAS and cheating on my main squeeze, my girl Norman.

Spent the last few months daily driving Paul the 62 in preparation for SAS9 and with that run checked off and considered a win, it’s time to swing back over to my lady. First thing I did when I got back was run up to the barn, 10 pumps and she was purring like a kitten (with a cough). Did all my errands for the 1.5 days I was home so my wife could drop my son off at first day of 8th grade for some serious “aura”.

She’s running fine but needs some gut work: clutch, t-case rebuild and some while I’m in there sh!ts.

Goal is to have her long distance ready for an early November Big Bend trip.

I’m going, with my boy in my 40. It was my boy’s idea when we went on our trip a couple months ago.

I’m drying to get to big bend. In a 40 with some other cruiser folk? Definitely penciling this in.

Keep me posted on dates so I can see what work looks like

Now that I know you’re awake you’ll be hearing from me shortly.

Thanks Georg!

I’m putting it on our radar… Gabe’s going to hike the CDT Colorado portion in September and I’ll be in Houston beginning of October so that would be fun to have an adventure in November together!
Do you know the dates you’re looking at in November?

A moving target but shooting for a long weekend beginning of November. Bryan isn’t available until then and my boy's sport schedule ends in October.

Anybody else game?
Chime in.

Long weekend sounds great. I’m only 1100 miles away. In a 40. That hasn’t been out of the driveway in 4 months.

I’m tied to work Nov the 10-14, and Thanksgiving week. (If that matters)

Shooting for early in the month if possible. 1st week-ish ideally.

Interested for sure. As they say, timing is everything. I would love to get my '40 out on trails.
Definitely will keep you posted

Well, got most everything ordered for the trans/t-case refresh. (Thanks @orangefj45 Georg) with the exception of the fluids and tubes of goo. Doing the oil pan gasket and RMS as well for good measure.

About to leave for a round of work trips, 4 states over the next month, with some family stuff interlaced.

Otherwise been pounding the streets taking the kids to school and general errands.
