Wiring Harness install time

Coolerman rebuilt my front harness and built me a total new rear harness. He does amazing work. Thank you Coolerman!

I just ordered all new led bulbs for the gauge cluster and interior lights. As soon as they get here I will have the cluster in and onto the rest of the dash.

I am in need of a Choke cable/knob....haven't checked to see if these are available new or not. Anybody know? My knob is missing from my cable.

Cheers!

Choke cable is still available from Toyota, I got mine from cruiser Dan. Let me look I might still have my old cable, maybe you could make that work for yours.

The absolute last parts are now ready

Picked up my last few parts from the powder coater today and I have tomorrow off. So look out this weekend for some more assembly photos.

I also stopped at Toyota this morning and they no longer can get choke cables for my year. So I am off to SOR or some other site to try and source one.

Looking to get my brake booster and clutch slave, brake pedal and clutch pedals all bolted up. Also finished the gauge cluster today with new LEDs so it will be going in too.

Looking forward to starting this by December.

No it is for a OEM carb. I have found some after market but will stick with a used one. On the hunt...

Haven't made it over to my storage to look for the choke cable but will tomorrow. The cable is cut but the knob is in good condition, sorry should of told you that before.

Can you take a couple pics of the fuel lines mounted? I'm curious if I have to lay anything in the chassis before setting the tub.

Today's progress

Today I installed the brake and clutch assembly and the clutch master. I also got the ebrake bracket installed.

My only snag now is that I took a part my ebrake to have it powder coated and for the life of me didn't take any photos. I also cant find the bag of parts I normally make when I disassemble something. So I quit for the night.

Ordered a new grommet and bushing for my accelerator linkage. So hopefully that will be assembled next week. Oh and I got a EGR pipe gasket.

Don: That might just work with the choke knob. My cable is fine minus the knob...maybe I can MacGyver it.

Don,
I would love to give it a try even if I can't get it to work. My cable is fine so I will try to find a way to free it from yours and epoxy to my cable. I will pm you my address. Let me know what I owe you for shipping or if you need any parts. I have a few left over.

As far as fuel lines go. I will probably have some bent up next week and then I have to drill a few holes in my tub etc. I may ask you to take a photo or two of the holes in your tub so I get it right on mine.

Thanks again.

Mark

Update!!

So thanks for everyones help last week. I ordered a new grommet for the accelerator linkage and a new bushing. It now is installed. I also put in a new aluminum radiator (3 core Champion) and new hoses. I also installed the hot water inlet valve and ran new hose on that as well.

Today I picked up my EGR gasket and some ferrel's for my fuel lines. Next up is running the fuel lines from the fuel pump to the carb and then I will install the brake lines to the firewall and the clutch master lines.

Also from Toyota I have a new gas tank to install and I still need to bend up the two fuel lines that run from the tank to the fuel pump/charcoal canister.

Don: Received the choke pull handle. Thank you so much. I haven't tackled that yet but I plan on it this weekend.

Keep working at it folks. I work a few hours here and there on it but eventually you will see progress. It is so fun putting it back together vs taking apart the rusty old crap.

Fan belts and brake lines

Moving right along!

Looks like you still need to install your fan belts and brake lines...

You are so right! After I hooked up my water hoses I scratched my head and said. Wonder how I'm going to get my belts on. Maybe I will take off my fluid coupler to get the on.

Brake lines were my goal last night after the family went to sleep but it got down to 20 here and my stupid torpedo heater is on the blink. So it was too cold. Going to get them on this week. Stay tuned.

Just read through the whole build...very very nice! Love it!

Colorado, can I get some photos od these brackets off your photo? Not sure if I still have them in my parts bucket so I might have to fab some up. Thanks!

Colorado, need help again. Can I get a photo of your heat shield installed? Not the rear one the smaller one, I believe it mounts under the driver's side? Need to figure it out before dropping the tub in the morning.
