Front Shocks being mounted......

:)Well, we've got the beginnings of the shock hoops tacked up. Had to machine the mounts the tubes weld to. Going to have an engine cage where we connect the tops of the hoops together. Will be very strong. I need to decide if I'm putting in a TPI so I can make the cage clear the top. Would be higher that the carbed motor. TPI:p:p

Now I just need to find the right motor.......

New Vortec would be SWEEEEETTT!

and I can help you with finding all the s*** you will need to do the swap. I love my vortec swap, a little more hassle than other swaps but once you get them running right they are great.

pat, fyi, you might have to get a little creative on how you do the engine mounts, especially with a 6.0, the piggy frames from what I remember when I was considering this are a bit less wide up front than an fj40 frame, also, there were some potential issues with the oil pan hitting the axle, but with your setup you can probably work around all this stuff, I am keeping my piggy fairly stock as far as suspension, etc.

noah

Body work done!!!!

Now all he has to do in longboard block the body and panels to find any low or high spots. Then it's Line-X the interior and paint booth. I'll be putting the body on the frame soon to get the cage made and new body mount fabbed. Will post as I continue........stay tuned.:D
