Bodywork continues.......closer`

Well, got the front window pillars and clip done. Starting on the doors and tailgate. Only have two more spots in the floor and door jamb then it's undercoating and paint time. I can almost see the light..........

Body in now UNDERCOATED!!!!!!

Got 2 gallons of good undercoating on. Should be good for my lifetime

Now the doors, tailgate and hood----then paint.

bodywork continues........

Well, the bodywork is still happening.. one door done and tailgate getting closer. I'm loving the undercoating. Need to get the gas tank cleaned out and painted up. Been thinking about having a fuel cell made from alum. and making it larger.. maybe 30gal. I don't want it sticking down too far.

I couldn't do that. It's time that I wish I had more of these days. Well, the tailgate is now done and primed. The floor bad spots are repaired and soon to be primed. The PS Roof line is repaired and soon to be primed as is the door jamb for front door PS. Little by little the body is getting there. I'm estimating about 90% on body and then 3 doors and the hood and it's paint time. Chassis still trial and error work in progress......stay tuned....
below is my now awesome tailgate. Closed the top opening because I do have a soft top 55!! Thinking about installing a grill inside my tailgate for camping?? Maybe mount a small Propane tank underneath..??

Last ones for now of floor repairs..

The front spot was pretty bad. Had to cut a piece of sheet metal and graph it in and then blend with fiberglass.....You can see how it looked before... Going to be Linex'd anyway. Rear corners by seat hump and always jacked up. All fiberglassed and then Linex to make them go away..

More progress......

Well, I had the hood(from a 77) and front fenders media blasted to see how we look. Fenders had some previous repair done after removing the Bondo. I'm going to extend out the heavy sliders and remove the bottom 2 or 3 inches from the fender bottoms anyway.

Wow, I love how clean the chop top looks. It makes me want to do that to my pig someday...
