Build Resto-mod on my 55 has begun

PS fender is now ready for paint. Hood is started. Working on the chassis next week with having time off.... can't wait..

Hood ready for primer

Well, hood pretty much done. Now I got three doors and the door jamb and it's time for paint. I'm going to build a cart to put the body on so I can sent the rotisserie to Temecula Tim who has been super patient. .;p

My oldest brother took these photos back around 90 or 91. Don't remember what or why he was there but brought these home with him. I was driving a 72' fj55 at the time and almost copied your idea. Always wondered who it belonged to and what happened to it. Very cool build man. Enjoy!!!

Unbelievable. I remember that like it was yesterday. That's right after we finished the cage and I put about 100 rolls of electrical tape around the padding. Still got that surfboard in the back. Thank you so much for that little trip back in time. Very motivating

Got the hood and DS rear door done... starting on other doors and nasty looking rusted out DS front door jamb. Got the body off the Rotisserie today and put it on a smaller cart for transport to the paint booth.... Today is a good day

Did you weld up the drain holes in the bottom of the door? Just curious, if you were coating the inside of the door with POR15 or something.

Probably keep mostly stock with sbc, discs, ps, 33 x 9.5 with stock wheels
Maybe a 2.5" lift. More of a DD.???
