Red light staying on (1 Viewer)

The red light (the one with an exclamation mark near the 4WD light) in my BJ74 has recently decided to stay on all the time. I was to believe that this was the handbrake light, but does anyone know if its for anything else?

check your brake fluid, and other fluid levels.

Mine did that when the fluid got low.

And your brake fluid level gets low when your brake pads are getting worn. So don't just top up the fluid, check if the brakes are worn first.

Like the guys have said, fluid level. There's a float sensor in the brake reservoid that activates that light when the fluid gets low.

the brakes are a sealed system, if the fluid is down them find out why...
