Ola Amigo’s, finally after 7 years, two rear sway bars and a couple sets of oem link’s, which isn’t bad considering, I’ve decide to follow the wisdom of a few mud legends and make my best attempt at adapting a RockJock rear AntiRock sway bar to the White Rhino.

My wife and I spent a few days up on Rubicon prior to attending the Sierra Trek Event on the Fordyce trail and at some point the driver side sway bar link became half torn apart at the bar end. I decided to let it be and run the Fordyce as it were. The link held up until later afternoon, surprisingly, until the bar became completely liberated from the link and the bar wound up hooked on a rock and twisted back directly into the ground. The decision was made to cut the bar off with a cordless angle grinder that the trailer sweep had in his kit.

This is coming for me hopefully this winter/spring.

He opted against frame cut hole. He wants to do it @nukegoat style and mount under frame/bumper method. :meh:
gross, that's like what the pilgrims did. haven't we evolved?

The jury is still out on this. I do like through the frame best but I have to figure out where to relocate my air compressor. It’s a fat 1.5hp Magnum from extreme air and takes up a decent amount of space.

I’ll take measurements to see I can fit it on the driver side inner apron. The ABS module is already gone. I could do a charcoal canister relocation like @TYM4FUN did if that would get me the necessary space for the compressor.

It’s a lot of work no matter how it’s done and I’ve already had thoughts of returning the Antirock and just going as HD on a stock style sway bar set up as I can and call it good.

its really not that much work. your bumper is already cut and clearanced. you don't even need to take off your bumper to plasma the frame holes.

At least that's what I learned after taking off my bumper and plasma cutting the frame holes to realize I DIDNT have to do that in the first place. LOL
The bar slides in from one side and through the other and then you just weld in place. (*not taking off the bumper for antirock only works if you already modded your bumper for big ass tires!)

You just need to relocate the air compressor. Which you won't have to do much cause you can just build some extra brackets to weld on the upper cross member frame and new antirock tube and it can face the other direction (parallel to the new antirock tube).

Do you need me to install it for you?

I’m ahead of you @spyduh. Already considered the compressor on the horizontal frame member. This needs to be looked into further to make sure the comp will fit there.

How many inches from your cross member back to the sway bar tube?

This sounds like a better plan, and cooler temps for the compressor. If it fits...

Yes plus it would be moved only about 18” so the hook ups shouldn’t need to be modified.

It's been a month Is that sway bar installed yet. I hope you did not return it. It's one of the best mods I have done since the hydro assist. 🤷‍♂️ ;)

Man I’ve been busy with stuff around my property, experimenting with the smoker I bought last summer, working overtime to pay for my bad habit, etc. I have the next three days off work (unless they call overtime) and hope to get started on that sway bar. In fact, I have a long list of things that need to be addressed on the cruiser.

Steve, what tires you running right now? I assume the 37x12.50 TrXus? Any plans to change it up? I’m looking at the typical Toyo or Yokohama MTs and maybe even the wrangler duratrac but probably unlikely.

Btw, sweet pic

Yep, running the trXus 4 years now and waiting until February for my new set. These tires are expensive but made in USA, tough ass nails and made in Tennessee.

Oh, I didn’t know that. I like it. I’ll have to check them out.

10.5” back. Got it! Kinda sick right now but hope to cut the holes soon and send the jig to @Noahrob

I hope you fell better soon. ;)
That number is not a hard number, you have some wiggle depending on where you mount the tabs to the axle.
