Waiting on the new bell housing and have began thinking on the seats again. I have seen Ricaro, carabeau, and scheel Mann. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I used circa 2004 F150 captains chairs. Poor man’s King Ranch seats plus I didn’t want leather. Very comfy and still supportive 8 years in. Mine are not power but love the adjustable lumbar. FJ 60 console fits perfectly and install was very easy.

Hola

Stil haven’t pulled the trigger in the seat direction. Have stallllllled waiting for the bell housing conversion.

But while I wait I’m thinking one more trip with the current roller. Have been trying to get out to Death Valley for sooo long. Stil haven’t been, but did get to the valley over called Panement Valley to meet LJ for the Panement Days Event.
Amazing
This country we live in is quite special! The landscapes were striking. As well, fun wheeling tracks. We did a trail called Jackpot and followed that with Coyote. You know old mines and such.

Passenger front stoped opening from inside. I had to walk around to let my passenger out. :(. And got a double flat!!!! One of the other rigs was a 60 so I was saved. From the 60 guy, “well you are rolling on four now, but if I get a flat you’ll be back on three.” I think he was in his late 70s and was named John #3. My guy!

Got home and pulled the insides out of the door, which turned into all four doors. When I was done all of them operated primo. Stoked

Bad side- when we got back to camp I returned john3’s tire and put my buddies 60 spare on. We both made it home. Yeah! Two more tires on $500 were the cheapest I could find. :(

Soooo now I have to drive 5 hours to return Lj’s tire in Bishop. And that is 45mins from Mammoth!!!!! Return the tire and mash a few days of snow fun!

Priceless!

Super over crowded.
My mind has finally made up!!

For years I have been cruxing on front seats!!! Years

Kick foward
Full recline/ flat
Inner arm rest
Low volume
Slide forward and aft
Seat heater
And look damn sexy!

Saw some seats in a show rig inside SOR, years ago! The rig later sold but had been returned to the original bench seat. So where are those seats, right up front and center for sale at SOR, again years ago.
Bought’em there.
Stoked
Years pass and they become pretty shabby. Skin them and do some metal fixes and put back the pooey padding.

Then my ‘boy/devil’ mentioned scheelmann. Those were the ones! Had everything. Once again this was years ago.

A saga!

No bell housing yet so now to focus once again on the seats. Drove 90mins to sit in the fabled scheelmann. And they were bliss!!!! Truly.

Let’s do it! Sit down run through the bill and errrrrcccckkkk! $6k! And not even in the vehicle!

I am not yet that cool!!!!!! I feel pretty cool but surely not that cool.

So sad what to do now. Remember a pair of 60 3 point seatbelts. Send them back to get reb webbed and such

I am going to use the ones I have!!!!! A while back I took them to a guy and he said it was too expensive to bother recovering my SOR seats, but they are perfect.

Stripped’em! Psyched because I found some glaring metal problems. Fixed them!

Fixed some mechanics of the chair as well

Finished the drivers side. Tomorrow the passenger. Then off to match. Long time ago I bought a SOR back bench/back recover kit. Nice.

Got some guys that will refoam/cover and match the back seat material/pattern.

1-2 weeks and I will be enjoying these thing in the roller, until I strip that muthu up for the transfer!
