I could be wrong but I think they stopped the box in 73, my 72 has it. I just bought a gallon of Herculiner, I hope it ends up looking that nice. The kit was only 90 bucks at Schuck's.

I purchased my truck about three years ago, PO spray painted it snow camo over the original brown to hide a bunch of body flaws/rust... It still is a decent looking paint job from a distance, and it had zero prep work, he literally just sprayed the thing in his yard... The more sun exposed parts such as the hood have started to flake off a bit and could use a strip and re-spray...

I would think something that had a good deal of prep work and time invested, plus clear coat should last atleast a year, the only time my truck (daily driver) sees a garage is when the top is off and it's raining...

Mine's in direct sun 99% of daylite hours. I'm sure the flat surfaces parallel to the ground will not fair as well as the vertical surfaces but I'm impressed that it still looks good. I've decided the rest of the truck is going to be Olive Green or something similar to the Olive color.

Flacrusher, how's that bedliner holding up a couple of years down the track?

Nice choice with the Olive green. After some rust repairs, mine's going military flat Olive Drab, but I really do like the factory olive colour. Looks awesome.

x2 on the talent and way cool Dad! She'll remember that forever.

The LineX is holding up great! It's not the easiest to clean but is definitely durable. I sandblasted the inside and bed before application so I have a feeling it'll be a long time before it has any issues

man thats awsome you should buy her a 40 so she can paint the thing like that. Camo rusto lasts a long time if your that worried about it spray a flat clear over it not only will it last longer itll help with smudges

Dude I absolutely love the stance/overall look of your rig including the tan, going to be a bummer to see it go :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: Post pictures when you're done!

Nah, it'll be awesome OD ... I hope...

If not, I'll be just 6 or 7 rattlecans away from the colour it is now. The rear interior and front floors are bed lined now, so the colour change will only be on the outside - not going to touch the engine bay at all. That'll make it quicker to "revert". I discovered after disassembling the windscreen hinges the other day that its original colour wasn't dune beige after all, it was mustard yellow. The old girl is used to colour changes. :meh:

Sorry for the thread hijack Flacrusher - back to you. :D
