Thanks Phil, so are you recommending back to the neg battery or enhancing the ground wire to the frame.

I have no problem with using the frame as a ground. With that said my Puma wiring comes from the battery but my battery is in the back and I use the frame for grounding my dual battery set up.:hillbilly:

Just seen this thread pop up again, so I thought I better get off my can and buy one. Done! $240 with tax. I'll have it Wed.

Don't need it right now, just put it in the stash.

Thanks guys for reminding me.

I see that for fixed mounts u guys are using relays. My plan is to add 5ft jumper cable leads with them home depot connectors and no relay is that what u guys have done?

I'm going to look at bringing these in. If they are selling for 250 online they have to be getting them for around 100. I'm in contact with the company so shall see. The main company is out of Taiwan but they manufacture all over the world, even in the US. Maybe I could do a group buy on these.

Any luck with this?

I hooked mine up using 6AWG jumper cables for the short term. Have to decide if I am going to do a hard install in the future

Went wheeling and gave it a test against the Power Tank. We all know the CO2 is faster, just how much faster.

I aired down to 16 psi for the test

The power tank took it to 42 PSI in 1 minute 25 seconds
The Puma took it to 42 PSI in 3 minutes 33 seconds

I know a lot of people only run 32 PSI in their tires so I measured from 16 to 32 as 2 minutes 5 seconds

I let it run for 10 minutes thinking the compressor would kick off when the tank was full, maybe I didn't give it enough time, but this had no effect on the fill time for the tire

It was, what results would you expect?

I would think the compressor would kick out when the tank was full. Mine stops in about a minute or so. Maybe your pressure switch is bad?

Is what I'm questioning, mine takes a little over a minute to fill from empty, 0 to 135psi. That result is at ~1200ft, but after filling tires it never runs more than a minute or so to refill, have done it in lots of places/altitudes. Unless it's has a load, leak, not performing correctly, etc, don't see how it would run for 10 minutes?

Maybe I had the knob cranked over to far. I'll retest it and see. I was at 9000 feet when I made my measurements BTW

What knob cranked?

I was at 9000 feet when I made my measurements BTW

I would expect the additional 7800ft to make a performance loss, maybe 1.5x, don't see it making a 10x difference?

I was thinking the flow knob, but that shouldn't have had anything to do with it

19 minutes for the tank to shut off. Goes fairly quickly to 120 psi and the rest just crawls. Guessing its filling the tank. The tank was still pressurized a week after I used it so don't think there is leak

I tried hooking to the main battery, backup battery (batteries connected and also with the neg cable clamped on the frame. All about the same results

Yes the truck was running

After running Red Cone I decided the tire pressure I was running was too low so I adjusted my Stauns to 20psi. Filling up from 20 to 42psi right after the tank shut off was 2 min 5 seconds

So should I contact the manufacturer about this not working correctly?

I would, mine has never ran that long

Maybe, it's hard to say, can't see it over the net?:hillbilly: But it doesn't sound like it performs like the ones that I have experience with? The only bad one that I have seen, was replaced quickly, without drama.

I emailed the manufacturers support gteam yesterday, Ill let you know when I hear back
