I already have a set of Bi-Xenons fitted to the standard reflectors.
I am happy with the light output, but not with the pattern.
I have looked at fitting a set of TRS FX-R 3.0 projectors, but I am concerned that it may need some modification of the battery trays.

Yessir, I am working on a plug and play solution for the round headlight members.

I'd be interested in a plug n play solution for our BJ60.

Interesting, what projectors do you have currently? Any pictures of the area you're concerned with?

^^^ They come in black too!

I don't have projectors at the moment. Only a xenon conversion.
Regarding the Dapper Lighting units, I find it hard to believe that they can fit a projector into a standard 7" semi-seal reflector, without compromising the performance.
Most of the good projectors are around 140mm in depth, so can't possibly fit.

Saw a lot of traffic from this site, thought I'd chime in on our kits. The projector is only about 112MM in length. We are using a 42/46MM projector which is pretty much the smallest around right now. We do have another projector that uses a larger projector but it protrudes outwards to give the "bug eye" effect.

The Classic model isn't the best performing projector on the market but is a significant upgrade from stock sealed beam headlights. We designed the kit to fit into 99.9% of vehicles without having to modify the brackets. A 140MM projector plus the HID bulb sticking out can cause owners to have to cut and drill the back of brackets. It may not be an issue with your vehicles.

Here is a decent comparison shot between sealed beam and our Classic kit.

Hopefully that clears some things up. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Thanks for registering Ben.

You happen to have any information on amp draw compared to the conventional sealed headlamps?

The old FJ40's and 60's are in desperate need of additional headlight capacity but most people do not want to have to upgrade the wiring harness in the process.

All of our kits come with relays so you don't fry your harness. A stock sealed beam will draw anywhere from 5-12 amps depending on the model. A 35w HID kit draws about 12-14 amps on start up then drops to about 3-4 amps steady. Note these for each side. We do a lot of classic cars such as the Datsun 240z which have extremely weak headlight harnesses and have never had any issues before.

All of our kits are designed to be plug and play and come with all connectors.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

Ben .. any chance to work in something for 62 series .. square low and hi beam .?

Is that a 2 headlight 6"x7" size or smaller 4 headlight system?

If it is the 2 light setup then we have this available: www.dapperlighting.com/collections/projector-headlights

The only setup we have for the 4 light system is an LED set but those run about $1k+ for a setup unfortunately.

We're also willing to offer a discount to anyone who wants to purchase a set, do a short write up, and get us some nice HQ photos. Let me know if any of you are interested.

Any 4x6 options. I didn't find them on your site! These look sweet though! I have some garbage cheepos in there the previous owner gave me with the purchase!

The only thing we have right now are the JWSpeaker 8800s. They run AROUND $680 for a set of high/low beams. I'd have to go get an exact quote from my rep. They are very high quality units though.
I'll work on getting some cheaper options. Is this size common for these vehicles?
