My daily driver, well I have several vehicles, so I may not drive it every day, but I could. I paid 5k and put 5k into into it so far. Runs perfect, everything works just like it should. The body came off the to get complete rust removal and new paint. Also replaced every nut bolt and screw during the paint and body work with Stainless steel. Added the MAF tire carrier too.

There was quite a bit to fix and repair when I bought it, but the body is 100%. It's a 1977 there is a 4" lift with 33x10.50 toyo tires. The interior has been completely restored as well. I'm waiting on the bullbar/winch mount and the rockslider steps. They are at powder coater right now. Wish I could find a new set of Rubber floor mats.

The reupholstered front seats, I also added the center "tuffy" console

When I brought the seats in the lady asked me to bring the door panels so she could redo them to match, what a bonus, the whole interior looks factory fresh now!

1977 FJ-40

Here she is last time we had her running. Since this picture, I have replaced the wagon wheels with 7" widened OEM and hubcaps. I have a white OCD top and bows with a Bandi tailgate ready to go on her as well...

Score on 1967 Hubcaps

I scored today on a complete set (5) of 1967 hubcaps and steel wheels. My wife said no FJ! asked that I post photos if I ever put steelies on so here they are. The back tires are a different tread pattern that were on the rims. I was very excited with such a find and wanted to see how they looked. I will eventually have the rims sand blasted and powder coated in gray and get new rubber. With this addition, the rig is back to 100% original.

Finally got my '71 into daily driver condition. Still have lots of work to do but at least I can drive it in the meantime. Now if it would only warm up a bit, I could take the top off!

Niiice!

Edit: These are the tires I will be mounting on mine...eventually; http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...hicleSearch=false&tab=Specs&partnum=700R5742S No personal experience with them, but so far all I have heard and read is leading me to believe that they will be just perfect for my old '64 ;)

Not close to as pretty as most of these rigs on here but for what it worth here she is. Our only vehicle other than a motorcycle so yes my daily driver. 2F, 3 speed, Saginaw PS all drum brakes. 33 x 12.5 x 15's on Bead locks. One touch start up. She is what she is.

7/70 Fj40 with early 80's 2f and 3 speed tranny. Trying to stay fairly stock but had to add the aftermarket tire carrier and seats out of a 4 runner (wanted to be fairly comfortable driving around). Height is stock with original hubcaps and front drums have been converted to disc brakes from man-a-fre. I am in the process of rewiring the rear end and adding the fuel evap system for the engine.

1970 FJ-40

Daily driven on the days that I don't ride my Harley, but still gets to see a lot action with some light off roading. Drivetrain is all original with an upgrade to power steering. I've owned it for a couple of years and have followed this forum closely in my work. This is my 1st post due to the fact that every question I've had along the way was answered thru a simple search. Thank you guys so much for your mountain of knowledge.

I've had it for a little over a week or so, and it's been driven every single day! It's going in the shop soon, so I'm trying to get as much "wheel" time in as possible!
its here right side.webp
