Hey Chet,
Let me know if you are ordering an EMS 1, I would like to make an order as well. Maybe we could save on shipping or get a better deal.

Cheers Justin

It seems Roving Recovery's website is gone. I hope dave's still got the business going. I bought a Madman EMS2 off him a while back - still uninstalled...
Good guy.

My buddy has a Duramax diesel with an Edge controller and digital display that shows Boost, EGT's, Oil temp and water temp all on one screen.

Is there something out there similar we can use with a digital readout?

Does the MadMan have the feature to display more than one thing on the screen at a time?

guage mounts

KingSpence

where did you get the gauge mounts? I like em

like the shift mount idea too

The mad man only displays one thing at a time but can be se to scroll thru all screens every5-10-15 seconds. I realize most of us would like to constantly watch everything as it happens but to me .... That's a cluttered dash. Wih the madman I have set all my alarms to go off a little on the early side to give me fair warning to back off, and in doing that when it goes off it automaticly flips to that respective screen. One thing I did noice with that system is you will have to run it off a relay direct from a battery and use a solid block/ chassis ground.... This thing is sensitive! Once installed correctly I love this setup, set it and forget it till it tells u otherwise.

Yeah - The Madman has been the best mod so far. Most used anyways and best bang for buck. X2 on using a good ground:bang:. I just hooked the pos to the 12V outlet/box - ACC.

I manually scroll through - knowing what I want to see when (i.e. tranny temp/EGT on steep hills, etc). For anything unexpected (i.e. coolant loss, oil press), there's the alarm. I drive by this gauge....

The location in front of the shifter is perfect - don't even look down to scroll. No blinding/annoying light at night either.

I tigged up some 1/8th aluminum and made a box, drilled 2 holes, powdercoat and stuck it too the dash. Works well.

Pic. kinda blows sorry.

I made a plate and painted it with some black wrinkle paint. It matched almost perfectly to the dash. The switches are for the winch, and glow screen.

switched it from the din spot I can see...
Did you install a pocket?

Had my gauge pod mounted down low but felt like I was constantly taking my eyes off the road so eventually bit the bullet and mounted it up high... way better now;)

looks clean. its only a matter of time until I get the turbo set up in my 77, I am going the isspro route again.

Did you get the ones with the amplifier boxes or did you go the EV2 series where everything is built into the gauges?

New Autometer GS series gauges.
I added a dimmer switch
