The houndy60 will be something else... Always wanted to see that! If you're building it, I'm buying a airline ticket!

Come on over Pal,

There will be some body to frame challenges, but nothing some creative fab shouldn't be able to handle, IMO. Wheelbases are within a suitable range, but this may change (get stretched) with the extended 60 bed I have stuck in my head.

Like I said it will take a little time on this project. However, I will be spending more and more time on custom cruiser builds and less time on armor fab. I have found several 60s (along with other series) in the new home area for reasonable pricing.

Time will tell.

Poppy is back from my buddy at Toyota. No leaks ANYWHERE and she ran 76 on the interstate all the way home.

I used her as a B-pillar model too!

I will lightly polish these covers with a fine woven pad. You we need to acquire polishing discs (unitized disc) to make them really shine and swirl like the one above. IF, that's your cup of tea.

I know nothing of IFS, so I don't know what cranked torsion springs and body means...I imagine the rear is a coil spring axle?

F, the 100 front doesn't have leaf or coils up front as you may know, but torsion bars instead. Stock torsion bars can be cranked up to increase lift (within reason and to a certain point) re-Indexing may be required, but haven't gotten that far. However, the suspension mfg I'm looking at has replacement torsion bars with their kits pending the load range I decide to go with. Rear is coil springs.

"Think of it as adjusting the spring collar on a set of coil overs. What you are doing is increasing or decreasing the pre-load on the spring (or torsion bar) which causes the ride height to increase or decrease."

Body= lift kit ( whether with blocks or fabricated custom body mounts)

I should get around 3.5" from the suspension kit per the mfg specs and then have to decide on the body lift height, if any.

I'm wanting to run 37s, just because... but 35s may be the best choice.

Dang....!!
All this under a 60 body eh....!!!
Pure art....!!!

Well.... Today the welder popped a capacitor. My LWS mechanic came over and verified it. They have one in Boise, ID and will be here tonight/morning.

So, finished rough sanding all the B-pillars. Need a few touch up welds on the edges.

Then decided to play with Poppy a little.

Euro lenses front and rear installed
New antenna
Adjusted driver door handle to open easier
Front bumper ends
Fuel filter

That is one damn good looking 60. I love the "Euro-spec" you're shooting for. All you need now is wing-windows, steelies, and full floater :)

Poppy won't get the wing windows, maybe the new 160 build.

My source found another full set of cable lockers so that might be a possibility. But other than the beautification process... (new paint, carpet, dash pad, license plate light, snake blinders, new BFG AT's, weatherstripping, door cards, seat covers etc.. Poppy is pretty much done. OH, and the redwood and chrome roof rack.

I'm not a steelies fan.
