I'm stoked to see this Pig Party taking off! Y'all are gonna have a blast.

I just parked my pig in the garage for the first time in years, it was sad. Don't cry for me though... I bought a new daily driver, 2017 Toyota Tacoma DCLB Off Road, blah, blah, blah. It's like driving a freakin' spaceship compared to daily driving a pig for the last 20 years!

Really wish I could make it this year- I'll have to get it on the calendar ASAP for next year. Planning a Toyota diesel swap and other doodads for the Princess Pig in the meantime... :)

got new spark bolts installed , did not realize it had been that long i put about 120k on these

want to run oe hubcaps for the look , but stockton wheel was huge expensive to have ones made in a 15 x 8 , to run the 35s . so i made my own:)

I fixed my jack. The top pin had spun about 90 degrees from what its supposed to be while i was trying to get the Rams out. I had turned it while trying to use it, but apparently it does matter what way the pin is. So i spun it 180 and presto lifto. Otherwise the list is still untouched.

Can we have a post from folks who are driving VS dragging their pigs to SW Colorado for this trip? No real reason. Just curious...

Im driving solo from Ojai ca. 900 miles. About the same distance to Moab. I shot that in one day 2 years ago. This time will be wth a new 2F engine I just completed.
6 hours to have the engine on the ground, 150 hours to reinstall (maybe for another thread)

Good request Hoshall. Keeping this thread going will keep the fires burning. Get more pigsters interested!!!

Driving all the way from Grand Junction to Rico (148 miles) probably shouldn't count, even if we include spending the prior weekend in Telluride at the Bluegrass Festival. But we'll also road trip the Frankencruiser through the Great Basin, Death Valley and the western end of the Mohave Road and on to San Diego in April...likely about a 3,000 mile roundtrip. Also registered for Cruise Moab in May.
Gotta get the rooftop tent mounted and bobm's rockers installed before all that travel.

Jim,

Good to see you're going to Cruise Moab, we signed up again too. So, Utah in May and Colorado in June, that's a few miles. Going to start using the secondary roads instead of shooting straight across the Midwest. Just seems right to slow down in a 55 and see the roadside attractions.

Growing up in the St. Louis area, Route 66 was the only way to get out of town, before all the super highways of today. I remember riding in the back of the 50 Pontiac when my Mother went with us, but if it was just the "guys" we took my Dad's old Willys Wagon, "the Mud Hen" as he called it, so much more fun. Bouncing around the front seat with the only seatbelt being my Dad's arm, the sound of the gears, all the shifters sticking out of the floor and all the room in the back for stuff, I was hooked. It took me to my late twenties, but I finally was able to buy a modern Willys, my first Land Cruiser, an FJ40 and so it went.

Driving , will likely have to put the roof rack back on to hold the kids stuff , am signed up for easter jeep safari .been going with my dad forever .would be a stretch to make cruise moab,. not enough time to do everything
