Located in the Boise Idaho area.

As some of you know I needed a door and bought an entire body to get it.

The only way this made sense is if I removed the quarters for my other pig project and spread the cost of body and shipping between the two projects.

So now I have a body sitting in my yard and the bride wants it gone, I’m reluctant to take it to the steel mill and not offer it or parts of it here first.

This body was sandblasted and epoxy primed so any imperfections are visible.

The roof is perfect no dents or rust. The rockers are very good, drivers side has no visible rust or repair, passengers side has one ¼” and one 1/8” hole starting to appear but both could be removed and installed on another pig easily enough. Floor pan has some minor rust in the usual spots but all and all it’s in good shape. Firewall is perfect. Quarter panels were removed inside the factory spot welds so new quarters could be installed if someone wanted to. I also have a pallet of interior parts that were sandblaster and primed that goes with this body.

Option “A” you bring a trailer and beer and haul it away sometime before 9/1/2018

Option “B” you arrange shipping and send me beer money sometime before 9/1/2018

Option “C” you arrange shipping and send me something for my time to cut it up and make a pallet and I’ll remove the sections you want and haul the rest to the steel mill sometime before 9/1/2018

If there’s interest I’ll take some detailed pictures, I really don’t have time to part this out or send items to mutable parties.

I won’t have time today to get detailed pictures but these are from the sale ad when I bought it.

Yeah, that’s just too nice to scrap.
This is a nice body, with the Bob M rockers no longer available these could very well be some of the last usable rockers to come available for a long time not to mention a perfect roof panel.

Unfortunately I don’t have the time to deal with removing them and trying find a buyer if I want to say on my wife’s good side, she deals with most of my shenanigans as long as I don’t junk up the yard with dead pig carcasses.

Where You located?
Sorry about that, added it to the first post.
Yep Boise area.

OwyheeJackAss should get it. I have his 55 at my place and it could use some love in the places this one is still good.

For you Pig owners with bad rockers, you'll be money ahead, worry-free and your rig will be stronger if you pay Jim to cut off and ship those Bob M rockers. As someone who has them installed, I offer an enthusiastic endorsement for a product sadly no longer available except in circumstances like this. Those needing a roof (no experience in that but I've watched some very difficult rebuilds of those double-panel sections, including on the Moviestar thread), I'd try to be first in line for this roof cut somewhere down along the pillars.

I believe this body is spoken for. Thanks all!

Dang - I missed it. I just got my little warehouse space and I would have been interested in this one for a project. If it falls through, PM me.

If it doesn't go and you can hold it for a couple weeks, let me know...

If buyer wants to put that pig back together I will be selling a titled, in my name chassis from a 1969. It has front cowl, partial body and rolling chassis. Includes F engine, transmission and tcase.
Thanks

You guys are killing me, temptation-wise! I am the elusive "buyer" of this setup. My biggest constraint right now is figuring out where to store everything. I too live in Idaho but in a tiny little house on a tiny lot with a tiny garage. I'm still working on my main piggy (1974) and was excited to see this pop up - it will save me a lot of labor and hassle in the long run.

@Ben edwards , you never know. Once I get the body in-hand I'll try to come up with a strategy for next steps. Hoping to grab it this weekend but trying to figure out a trailer setup.

How freaking cool is this forum!?
