1965 meet 2025….. wonder what kind of patina this new one will have in 60 years
Between the plastic and all the electronics, I sort of wonder what the lifespan of today's vehicles will be?

I argue this point all the time...my daily is a 2020 F350 and the point I try to make with people that say "it'll last forever" is this: Only if it never sits. There is something to be said about a vehicle that sits in a field for 20 plus years that can be started with a new battery and some fresh fuel. Sure, other little things will need dialed before it's road-worthy but odds are you can get it started and running while still being able to source or make things. My truck?....not a chance. A new Landcruiser?....not a chance. These new vehicles will NEVER start after sitting for a decade or two.

Patina one can admire in OZ...

I moved some rigs around and got my wife's 1976 V8j40 running. That left a space beside my 1966 fj40 for me to sit on my creeper and drink a beer after work tonight. When I found this rig a few years ago I planned to leave the patina but swap out the badly repaired door. Tonight, I’m inspired to leave it be. It tells a story as much as the other scratches and dents. It’s nearly obscene how much I love old LandCruisers.
