Managed to get into the cage on Sunday 23rd. It is all tacked in place with the foot plates all made, I will post up some pics when I get home from work, next week.

I get 5 days off next week, so we will see if I can get the thing ready for the 12th of next month

I managed to get some more done on the cage on the weekend. Made the sandwich plates for the footplates and bolted them down, installed bars for harnesses and installed rear stays to make the cage a 6 point.

Front footplate. Footplates must be 100x100mm and have 50x100mm in second plane.

the footplates and sandwich plates must have radiused corners and edges removed.

Rear footplate, same rules as front. These were made bigger to go over the cavity in the floor

Bellmouth for rear stay. Took about 2 hours each side, there is 4 different angles at work.

Should be more to come this weekend, hopefully knock over the cage and get into the winch bar

Whats the story on the thing that looks like a shock with a hoop on the end, bolted thru the massive bumper ?

It's a shock that allows the rope on the winch to remain taut enough not to unravel but still allows the pneumatic freespool to unlock the drum and play out the cable

From there, we decided to get more serious, a shortbus style slice was planned and some more barwork added.

I fabbed up a set of rock sliders

And finished off the front bumper
