I could probably be persuaded to trade you inclinometer covers. Mine is grey which doesn't match the cruiser... at least yours would attempt to match the outside of the 55 and mine would match your dash.

so i for some reason decided to go with the front range brake adapter kit and ARP studs for the knuckle and lockout.

sounds easy right.

well basically the kit consists of a steel adapter plate and some hardware.

kind of pricey for what you get, IMO considering i used stock caliper bolts as opposed to the allens provided.

project starts, and ends ironically with some wrong parts some a****** sold me from craigs. call a guy parting a 3rd gen 4runner, make a deal for the calipers and rotors. he asked me at one point if i would rather have the taco trd ones he has pulled already. i say no. he shows with the taco stuff anyway insisting otherwise. i go ahead, my mistake. so i cant use the taco caliper without changing the soft hose...

so right out of the block i need to get the other caliper. done.

go to install the kit, which is a front end service, since the knuckles swap sides.

IFS wheel hubs, machine to fit under the rotor hat.

new studs in the knuckle and hubs, along with new longer wheel studs to accommodate the rotors and my wheel spacers.

so i go to install the first knuckle and end up pulling thread on two of the new ARP knuckle studs at under the specified 100+ ft-lbs. so that set me back two full weeks. FROR did get me new studs and nuts at no charge. so i get it all together as pics show.
come to find out what i didnt notice, probably since i was working under the light of dark, was that the taco rotor didnt match the 4runner caliper. the pad outer edge didnt have any rotor to grab. pretty sure the size diff is 11.8 compared to 12.5.

so i had driven the brake kit a little bit, but having pretty limited time make road tests hard. after messing with the truck yesterday i was crawling around and noticed kind of unusual wear pattern on the rotors.
