Hey people, I'm Shane, and my truck is Bunny. We're moving from southwest Montana to the Rogue Valley sometime in March for my wife to take a job at Asante Healthcare. It's tough to leave Montana but it seems like y'all have a great neck of the woods down there, and we're excited to explore it on foot, bicycles, skis, raft and Land Cruiser.

I'll be on the lookout for meetups after we make the move, but definitely will be seeking out a Cruiser shop to take care of Bunny. I've got a Cummins 12v / NV4500 swap and have had all the custom problems that come along with that. I've now got more than 100k miles on the swap and it runs like a champ, but in honesty I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy out there so want to develop a long-term relationship with a trustworthy, talented mechanic / shop.

So, anybody have recommendations about a Cruiser or Toyota-specific shop, and/or a good diesel mechanic?

Thanks in advance!

Best of luck with the move from a MT native. As you may know, Asante has been going through a lot of changes recently. Quite the uproar. We have many friends who work there or used to.

So OR is a great place if you can put the political bs being shoved down our throats from the North. I try to ignore them.

This is a GREAT place to live. We have a great mechanic in Medford who has taken very good care of my Tundra. They have been around for a long time so would probably not have an issue with a diesel. When you are in town I can give you a connection. The Cruiser community is a good one here.

Safe travels!
