How do you like the ruff stuff center section? Pretty tight fit to the 9.5? Have floated them vs a diamond for awhile now, but had heard their centers were less compact than the diamonds. Picking nits here. It's nice to have choices. Waiting for the Hellfires to come back in stock.

Have considered the Ruff stuff high steer knuckles? The high steer arms are keyed and pretty sweet.

I'm happy with it. It's a tight squeeze to get my diff into the housing, but I trimming a little relief into the opening at the sides where the side adjusters are and it's perfect. As far as the housing itself under the 80, it's fine. Center section being too big wasn't an issue for me, but I'm linked with coilovers. If I was trying to fab factory style spring mounts on the housing, it would be too tight at the passenger/short side

The RuffStuff knuckles are the Hell Fires. They are not keyed unfortunately, but that Dana 60 style hardware they come with is massive. The Diamond high steer knuckles are keyed, and those sure are nice!

Thank for the clarification, I’m getting old and senile🤣

So I've been a bit quiet in here since getting the 9.5 RuffStuff housing in the front. Was really focused on prepping for Rubithon. This thing was ok, but my wife had been collecting parts for her Sequoia in the hopes of coming in with it, so I put a bunch of work and time into it to get it ready. She already had had OME 3" lift on it, Coastal Offroad front bumper, a home brew rear bumper and 4.56 gears with a Spartan front and LockRite rear locker. I added sliders, made some skid plates myself, wired up her winch and fridge, and stuffed some 35s on it and some Freedom Offroad UCAs

The Sequoia did great out there and is ready for the next adventure. Now I'm in full Sierra Trek prep mode. At Rubithon, I made a handful of runs up and down Cadillac Hill getting stuff in for the event and made a boneheaded mistake. I hit pavement at the staging area and turned right towards the restrooms for my son with everything locked in and the 40s at 8psi. There was a lovely noise from the front end and then I only had 3 wheel drive. So back down Cadillac I went after we were done loading things and fueling up and then came back up and out fully loaded with a trailer also loaded in 3 wheel drive. Found a side gear grenaded in the diff. @Firemedic831 brought me some 9.5 parts to make it whole again thankfully. I won't do that again...

So after Sierra Trek, I'm running back over to Loon Lake to take my dad through the Rubicon in his 4Runner. The Sequoia may join us on that run as well. But that means more vehicle prep. So I kidnapped my dad's 4Runner to be able to go through it for him. I already added a lift and 35s and did some fender trimming and a body mount chop. Now I'm adding sliders, skids and bumpers

Do you not turn you lockers off after each obstacle?
I prefer to run 90 percent of the trail with the locker’s off and only use them when necessary 😎

Same. Impressive to see a side gear blown up from just tooling around though. It was probably already compromised.

That is part of the Lockrite he had in the rear that broke last year and we had to weld it . My guess is the heat treat went out the window . There is no turning off a lock rite that is welded :steer:

That makes more sense.

I saw it was a lunchbox locker, but it is still impressive. They don't usually break in that manner. I did miss the welds on it though, lol.

Save the broken parts and make a carnage trophy out of it!

Yeah, pretty sure welding on it without preheating or anything crushed the strength and made it brittle, but considering it was done on my tailgate from with the welder in an 81 pickup, it's pretty good. It was impressive to pull that out of the diff though. I need to clean it up now. It's dirty...
