The one that fits into the slot above the radio. It looks like a great way to spill Mt. Dew on one's radio and rear heater control, which I assume it was designed to do.

In your opinion, is the cup holder, at approximately $50:

Worth it or Worthless?

Thanks.

Thanks. I kind of want to get it, but I cannot imagine that it has any utility at all.

It doesn't seem like a very good design.

Yeah, its only good for spillin' your drink. I found a better use for the space.

I got one to fill the hole that I created when I broke the stock blank putting in my CDL switch. Not too good as a cup holder but it is good as a hole filler.

I use mine all the time. Yeah its not too sturdy, but it works and I have not spilled anything yet.

I had one in my old taco...it worked, but fifty $$ is a waste for it..

I voted worthless due to the fact that if you decide to put a dvd head unit that pops out of the dashboard then the cupholder will be in the way!

they're not deep enough, they block everythigna nd they're expensive.

Worth it.

From what I've seen on these boards, if your woman does not like the 80, your chances of getting mods approved are slim to none.

If she is riding in the passenger seat and has nowhere to put her drink, the vehicle suddenly becomes "dumb", thus lessening her interest and allowable mods.

This isn't the only cupholder you can get there....I've seen the E-brake area cupholder type installed on the passenger side...or the Land Rover cupholders installed there too.....and various other ram mount type cupholders. Point is, you have to give her one.

I did...and look how many mods I got to do so far. :P

I think Man-A-Fre has them for $35? Thats where I picked mine up online.

$50 for that doo-dad? Why, that money could keep your tank filled for.....OK, bad example...

It's still way down the accessory wish list, for me. I voted :meh: since there are already three places in the console that can hold a cup.

Going solo....

Okay, for those voting it is worthless, you must not have a :princess: copilot. Where are two people going to put drinks in this rig!? Put your Big Gulp in that drink holder in front of the shifter! Sheesh...

Anything else comparable is going to cost close to the same, or if less, will require more time for installation. If you have a Cruiser with the padded armrest, the Volvo v70 mod is out. That leaves the Disco mod as the next best option that looks close to OEM...and it seem blasphemous to put a Land Rover part in the Cruiser

Got the OEM cupholder, then sold it on Ebay. The problem? It can't hold much of a drink and it's a great way to spill soda all over your brand new stereo/GPS equipment. Still waiting for someone to sell a nice, color-matched kit with all mounting parts- in the same manner the 1FZPHH guy did for the PHH. I'm sure it would sell like hot-cakes around here. Any takers?

I put the slot to much better use ;)

As long as you get a coffee mug with the right diameter at the bottom it works fine. Bigger mugs an larger soft drink bottles don't fit. Bottles of water, propel, and my coffee mug fit so it works for me.

Nice armrest.

I was just going to vote and then move on until I saw all the bashing going on:D I added the cupholder about a year ago and consider it money well spent. It holds my coffee cup (20 oz. Starbucks) every day and has never spilled. I don't really ever try anything other than that as I don't typically drink or eat in the rig, but for the coffee cup, it's great .02

I voted "Worth It"

198,000 miles and 10,000 Pepsi's later its worth it.
