But not until the 19th...

The very last thing I have to turn in is on the 5th, so on the 6th, it's on...

I saw that one too. And after having kids, and juggling Graduate school and work together, I would have to agree!
What master's are you going to obtain? Congrats!! Any particular beer can I get for you to celebrate?

I finished up my Masters in Biomanufacturing in December 2016 and had a big party at the house and a lot of the ONSC crew came out. This time its a MBA in Biosciences Management (both from NC State), and I'm not going to throw one at the house, just hang out with both families (Mine and ONSC) at the Barn!

Kick off my full-time return to the club right!
I'm into anything IPA, and anything from Charlotte would be nice!

Dang dude you have to quit getting degrees I'm running out of graduation gift ideas for you.

That may be the case as far as the downtrend - I came in after it had tamed down. For clarity though - the dirty part definitely IS the stealing not the adult nature. Google agrees - as does urban dictionary.

I shall remove the PG13 requirement - I expect there to be hilarity or I will be disappointed!

Santa will distribute some gifts to keep the kiddies distracted....

As for the history on the gift exchange in ONSC....

Id asked Clint (@strong_toy ) about one in a PM and then Clint first suggested it for the as party held at his house in 2009 (we were a lot smaller back then lol). It was called a white elephant/dirty santa gift exchange in the thread about the party because they are the same thing. Dirty Santa is what we mainly call it on the west coast, white elephant is universal, I know its called yankee swap elsewhere and i'm sure there is more than that.

Gifts the first year were mostly straight forward and serious. Andrea and I were the ones that injected humor with my "gift that every girl wants" that @Mtbcoach and Regina ended up with and Andrea's gift of FJ40 spare parts (basically a few 40 series hot wheels that had been taken apart and put in a box) that @jfz80 ended up with and looked less than thrilled with... LMAO. The next year at Jerry's house we followed up with the karma pooptra that @GarnerFJ40 won and the beer pong pimp glove that hilariously @4LowandSlow ended up with. (Garret was only 8 or 9 at the time). Onward more people started doing the more risque funny stuff.

Its always been kid friendly though, if it had been adults only my gifts would have been much different and more from the back of spencers gifts instead of the front. Hell we have always had kids at these things as that has been ONSC #1 priority. It may be on decline simply because a lot of the people that did the more risque gifts every year have moved. Myself, Brett and Adam to name a few. I doubt that's the only reason but there were really only 3-4 really out there gifts each year. It may just be a shift in the group. No biggie. I haven't been to a xmas party since 2015 so I have no context really.

Who knows. I was going to be there this year and had a great gift already in my garage but my work decided to make our xmas party the same day in SF and is flying us all there first class so I couldn't really say no in my first year at the new firm.

@GLTHFJ60 is 100% right though the funny risque gifts are what make that event the highlight of the evening IMHO.

I'm done! No more...

Well anyway I have one in mind... may not get to you till next year though with all the xmas buying going on right now i'm tapped out. :)

I am going to the barn on Sat for the party and will be meeting a member in Thomasville so we can ride down together. If anyone in the Triad area is interested in driving down with us please let me know so I can provide details on where to meet.

I’ll be headed that way when Isla gets out of school at 2:30. Plan is to pick her up and hit the road. Google says 7 hours from my house. Be nice to arrive to have the nightcap with @jimsmith1370

I have to draft for mid-season soccer tryouts, but will be out whenever that wraps.
