Been a tough couple days here at our house.

Our sweet dog, Sophie, passed away very suddenly Thursday afternoon while I was in the garage working on the truck. Unfortunately, I was the one to find her and rushed her to the vet to find out she was gone. Luckily my wife was not home and didn’t have to find her. She was 16 and energetic and happy up until the end. She had been with my wife since middle school and has been the only consistent thing in her life since. We’re both crushed.

Work on the 60 has stopped for a while.

I'm so sorry. Pets are family and that has to be tough. Prayers to you and your wife.

@Hokie LX sorry man. My dogs have been family members. My wife has requested a year of mourning between each. Rufus sends his condolences. Hope to see you at Relic Run.

Thank you, Travis! We are currently trying to decide whether to wait or get another dog. Will definitely see you at RR!

@Hokie LX i am very sorry for your loss. Good dogs are a god send and I know it is really rough for you to loose one.

So very sorry for the loss of a very longtime companion for you both.

I'm not much of a bucket list guy, but I was able to do something last week that I have always wanted to do. Drive a Lamborghini.
I had a Countach poster on my wall as a kid, like many of us most likely, and I have always wanted to drive one.
I attended a work conference in Vegas last week and instead of losing money in the casino I made some memories.
I rented a 2021 Huracan and took a four hour tour to the Valley of Fire State Park. Awesome weather, 65F, beautiful scenery, mostly interstate driving with some twisties near the park. The car was fast (no :poop:) and gloriously loud, comfortable seating, simple to drive, and hugged the road.
At one point I made a 70mph to 103mph pull with a big grin on my face and immediately got a text from the rental company politely asking me to slow down.
Cruising at 90-95 on the interstate felt like 65, and was still getting passed by Camry's. But with Big Brother watching I couldn't get too crazy. Probably for the best.

Awesome story. The text is hilarious. I would have gotten many texts and hey bring that back now or they can probably just shut the car down remotely. ;<)

Also, good to know if I ever get the opp to rent a dream rig like that.

Some backstory.
I researched three different exotic rentals. Two of which were geared more for “show”.
“Be seen driving around the strip”, kind of thing. I don’t give a crap about being seen, I want to drive it.
I ended up going with LVC Exotics. They give you a flyer with a map and about 5 different scenic drives you can take that are outside of the city. There are rules like no trips to the Grand Canyon, but basically unlimited mileage.
When we got to the rental office they have a big screen front and center that pinpoints all of their current rentals on a map. So I knew we were being monitored but they didn’t mention any speed limitations.

Thank you and I have no interest in being seen either, just want to drive. That text is money!

Wow..... I would have got about 30 texts in 15 seconds. I'd have to beat my personal best of 172 mph.

Found a set of NOS cosworth cams for the ej25 subaru on offer up that was priced about 1/8th of their original price. Couldn't pass it up. Looks like i'll be building a set of subaru heads at some point.

Think an LS swap will hurt the value of your 60 or 80? This truck was built in 2017
