Before Old School (top 5 fav movie of all time), there was Kansas (est. 1861, and then again in 1970):

Little known fact, @RedHeadedStepChild 's Dad was a singer/tambourine player in the band.

Saw them in 77 or 78 in Philly

Take me back to a heavier time, from 85-89. I change by staying the same.

Y'all figure it out. 🎸
Clearly you are speaking of the golden years of Metallica. Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...and Justice For All.

Garage Days, cant forget Garage Days

A truck arrived today from California with an almost done 5.3L EROD swap. It was at the shop where the swap was being done for almost SIX years! Shop owner told the driver he had Covid, musta been the 5 year strain. Last thing the shop owner said to the driver that picked it up...........................
"Leave it here and I can have it done in two weeks" I kid you not.

As sad as that is its not that uncommon with the type of people that are buying these rigs for conversions these days. People with money and time will leave cars at shops for years on ends to get finished. Its akin to most of us lower level income earners and our project trucks we bought xxxx years ago and would be driving and done in a year... lol

You used to read about it all the time in car craft magazine..... seedy shop owners could see them coming from a mile off and out of sight out of mind is their project to the owner.

Working late last night I happened to see the Miklos aka Mickey Rubicon had passed away.
Some of you might already be aware as this happened two weeks ago.
He was a very fun loving, big hearted but tragic figure who went through any bouts of hard alcoholism. He was one of the first mud members I actually met in person at Pismo way back in 06 or 07. We bonded over a bottle of scotch I had.
We had recently reconnected on FB and he was in and out of rehab but also suffering from a chronic illness he didn't go much in to.
RIP Miklos Kovacs
Rest easy friend

I'm sure we can all put together an equally attractive getup if we just turn off the lights in the closet and fumble around for awhile. Of special note here are the desert camo shoulders.
