isn't it funny (in a sad way) that the general public is allowed to make such drastic changes to vehicles (lowered, lifted, bigger tires that affect braking and steering) but the gov't won't allow vehicles newer than 25 years old to be imported due to 'safety and emissions' concerns.

There are FAR more lifted and modified vehicles on US roads that possibly perform worse in emergency situations than the total number of Skylines and the like that would be imported, but can't be because they lack a federally mandated passenger airbag, etc.

Now I'm a fan of vehicle modification, and it is a huge business in the US, but is majorly hypocritical.

Dang, scrap steel price is low, only $4 per 100. That is only 40% of what it was last time I went last Summer. 1,760 lbs.

Hey so I've been looking for a 'turbo' OEM badge for my grill on the 80. Discontinued, unfortunately. Not that long ago, either.

That said, I'm sure there's a few of them floating around in used condition somewhere. I've looked on mud.... a lot. Googled, and sent many requests for information based on people saying that it was "available" only to find out that they didn't know it was discontinued.

As information, with part number......

Any suggestions on who to ask?

I can have one for you in.........................................................two week;)

Can't say that I've ever seen one.

You laugh, but that's what Cruiserparts told me. Paid for it, and about 2 months later I was told to keep waiting since it was "on it's way from Japan" Needless to say based on my dealings with them, they won't get further business from me unless I don't have another choice. They still show the turbo badge available on their site, too...

Should have gone straight to Beno when I thought of it... It would have likely been available...

I have finally run some spacers on my rig to get the tires back out to where they usually are as I am running different rims. So far in 6 months no issues. Not that I want to run the spacers but I need to. Not really happy but a temp fix for a year or 2 till I wear out these tires I got for free. I agree with the wearing out stuff faster as it will put more stress on bearings, but so do wider rims which I have ran for 30 + years now with no issues to include 12 inch wide rims for 20 years.

Sent from my SM-G920V

hmmmmm I should still have mine somewhere. I got it when I got my turbo kit and I'm pretty damn sure I didn't give it to anyone.

only problem is all my junk is in charlotte and I'm in Seattle. I'll ask Andrea to look through some of my stuff. If she finds it I'll let you know a price.

If it's a video that you took, like with your iPhone or GoPro, you'll need to upload it to YouTube and then follow John's procedure. You might be able to load it on Facebook as well, but then you may have to adjust your privacy settings.

I haven't had the need to order many parts in quite a while (knock on wood), but when/if I need something for the 40, especially if it's something difficult to find, Beno is the first call I'll make.

Thanks people.
It is on the ipad.
Don't know anything about putting it on utube.
Oh well. Wasn't that much of anything any way.
