No worries Izzy, I told my brother in law a couple years back "you've stolen from my wife and all your other family members. You are not welcome at our home, I'll not give you the chance to steal from me and force me to hurt your stupid ass"

Funny thing, most all family members agreed.

Any one knows what this is for?

I just got some stuff and it was in it.

I was going with quick release extended shackles.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I found out this week, via DNA testing we did under doctors orders, that I am 7% Native American. So all you white people get off my land! Thanksgiving has a whole new meaning this year.
Interesting, I too have some Native American DNA as well. According to my parents and grandparents, it's something along the order of 100%.

It's test day again. Topic: Centripetal forces and Gravity. Any takers?

So the vine is fixed at the non-Tarzan end? If not, I'm guessing it's zero, unless you mean to measure force of impact when the vine hits the ground below his 75kg mass.

To help there is a handy picture for you to refer to. :flipoff2:

It assumes fixation. :moon:

Negative. The problem to reads, "passes the lowest point of his circular path". That is only possible if the other end is secure. Checkmate.

So this is pretty cool. Gates makes hose clamps that are made of some sort of heat shrink tubing. One time use I guess, but damn does that look cool!

Gates Power Grip Clamps | Gates

I viewed "circular" to mean falling, flailing and spinning. Like what would happen to me if I tried to jump off a cliff holding an unsecured vine and had the force of gravity to contend with.

But I'm not gonna argue with a superior mind. You win. You always do when the challenger is an idiot!

Just the laugh I needed today. Thanks for that visual.

On the contrary, idiot is the teacher that fails to see ALL the different ways a problem can be interpreted.

Wouldn't the vine swing in an arc? I fail to understand how it would swing in a circle if the forces of gravity were constant

Ahhh, I see what you did there. Nice work. But forces are measured in Newtons. 2205 Newtons or *GASP* 2200N to the correct number of Sig Figs.

In SIG figs, that would be 220 or 226, no?

Make that P220 or P226

Okay. 225 Fig Newtons. You teachers are always so damn picky! Sheesh!
