@Markuson @A10Driver @indycole

Thanks for your feedback. For clarity, the image I posted earlier is from a installation instruction manual that another member posted here. I will wait to see what my updated kit says. That said, I am looking to eliminate any rake from front to rear. I’m willing to give up some ride quality if necessary.

If u want level, mine is level at 20mm. Soaks up big bumps, the small stuff is where u will feel the stiffer ride. I haven't played with the compression yet, was waiting for bumpers.

Bumpers are a year+ out for me. I think I should be able to get it level at 5 or 10mm preload. How is the ride quality w/o bumpers at 20mm? I think Markuson had complaints at that level.

Just remember that 20mm is where they are set from the factory...but that’s because they assume they are going onto trucks with steel bumpers and a winch. That means you will be several hundred pounds lighter than that preload is intended to compensate for. So ya, it’ll be stiffer than the the manufacturer intended your BPs to perform their best at.

I actually prefer a fairly stiff ride...but I also want my shocks to be able to operate as designed.
Up to you...of course. It’s not like you can’t adjust preload again later.

So, I went to tackle the squeaking suspension today before we take a road trip to Etosha National Park in Namibia. My 2723's are a constant load spring, and I couldn't see anywhere they would have been smacking. Still, I sprayed them with WD-40. No change. I then went to tighten my BP-51's, couldn't get them any tighter, and still had a squeak, so I sprayed the bushings with WD-40 and that solved the problem. I hope it's a one off deal, but something tells me that it won't be.

I had to spray mine again, the bushings on top of the shock is where I am getting noise from. Yours the same?

That's exactly where my squeaking was coming from too. The bushings on top of the shock where it mounts to the frame. I've just come back from Etosha National Park in Namibia where it was really dusty, and have yet to hear the squeaking start up again. Crossing fingers that it will hold out a while.

What C & R settings do you all run on heavily corrugated roads? I'm trying to find a sweet spot between soaking up everything, but not so soft that it goes to the bump stops on bigger hits. I'm running front bull bar/12k lb winch w/synthetic line, 50mm lift up front, rear steel bumper with swing out, no tire underneath, and 20mm lift with 2723 coils.

Guys, ARB has been great to work with. If they clunk call ARB and ask for Erik. You can even say I told you to ask for him.
They will send you replacements free of charge. The latest update is great.
Getting colder here in NY and no councils on the new set I’ve had for 6 months.
Still dialing in the settings though.

I wonder about ARB customer service. My son has an issue on his 05 GX OME BP-51 susp. The left from shock is producing an annoying squeak at the bottom ball joint. He has contacted ARB and was told they didnt make anything for a Lexus GX470 and it was out of their hands. The condition is documented on the GXOR fb site by 2 different guys, who were shipped new shocks. What's the deal?

Who sold your son the BP-51 kit? There is a certain amount of vendor culpability when they are selling a product build for X for vehicle Y. It is true that ARB doesn't have any application for the GX470, that of course doesn't mean there isn't parts and components that fit and can be tweaked to fit, but it does mean the manufacture can be a little less liberal about warranties and the vendor could and should be the front line of defense long before your son contacted ARB direct, it should have been a non-issue if his vendor took care of it imo.

After a lot of adjusting I'm at C2R7 front and back in search of a comfortable on road ride. I have no additional weight on the truck. The single biggest improvement was switching from E rated KO2s to C rated. the family no longer complains that it's rough.
0mm preload in the front.

WD40 by the way is not a good lubricant. It actually dilutes your grease. It might work temporarily but it won't last.
I would not be spraying anything into your spherical bearings without talking to ARB for your dealer first.

I ended up working with ARB to replace both front coil overs. They had the same issue you are describing.

If the vendor can help you I would go that route.

Yes, it was bad. The lower joint in both coilovers was shot. A shot of the old and new below. You could feel the old one grinding basically.

Good info. Mine squeak like a mother father and I keep being told "they're supposed to make some noise......"

I'm pulling mine in a couple of weeks and taking a look.

if you can blow out that lower joint with some air it might help but the seals rot/dry out and grime gets in there. It just kept getting worse.

The end joint is totally a servicable part, ARB has them as a service part and any dealer should be able to get them.

Really? Are the field serviceable? Press in? Just curious and what do they run?

I don't think there would be any reason to try and field service one, a squeaky bushing or even sloppy bushing isn't going to leave you stranded. I'm not in the shop today, and those aren't really an item we sell retail rather as warranty items for our customers so I don't know a price off the top of my head
