My 200 came with the BP-51 system already installed so I don’t have any instructions or diagrams. I’ve got something loosening on one or both sides and plan to checking all the nuts and bolts. It would be helpful to have a full diagram of all parts. I did some searching here and on the internet but have found a pdf or anything. Anyone got something they can scan or know of a resource online? TIA

UPDATE: My noise wasn’t the suspension at all, it was the cargo on my bumper swing arms moving and causing sounds to travel down through the frame and sound like they were coming from the wheel well/shock tower area.

I have a nasty squeek coming from the back, can't track it down. Even pushing hard on tailgate produces the noise. Any ideas?

I finally killed the squeek. It was the coil springs rubbing under compression. I have progressive 2701 springs in the back, and the top of the springs have the lower rate and rub against each other over small bumps. A little wd40 solved the problem

Are you running a rear bumper? How were you consistently getting the spring compressed in every day driving?

I was not, now I am. I had the touching in both cases as the springs are progressive and almost touch when the car is parked. Any bump will get the top of the springs touching

Really, my truck decided to cream a RAV4 about a month ago and I am waiting for my new ARB front bumper to come. When hopefully next week it makes it out of the body shop I will finally be installing the BP-51 setup. Life has constantly been getting in the way. What preload are you running on the front and what is your total lift with the front setting and rear springs?

20mm and about 3.5 inches, pics are pre bumper

Looks like with the 20mm you still kept the full 3” on the front. How did the back fair pre and post bumper with the springs?

Did you install UCA yet?

Truck is level, 18 inches to the rocker behind front wheel and in front of backwheel post front and rear bumper

Hey everyone, I've got about 8,000kms on my BP-51's and they squeak like crazy around town. I'm using 2723 springs in the rear and have 50mm preload on the front coil-overs with them set for a bull bar and winch. The rear has a steel bumper with rear swing out and still has the rear seats. I'm also running the SPC UCA's up front.

I'm off-road a lot in dusty conditions, but my cruiser is also pressure washed quite well afterwards. All four corners squeak and squawk while driving around the dirt roads in town and driving over some of the less than level pavement surfaces.

Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? Could it also be progressive springs like @A10Driver said in a previous post?

Other than the squeaking, I love them. In conjunction with aired down tires, they soak up the bumps off-road and make bad roads seem much better.

If you think it's the springs spray them with wd40, the front do not touch so that is not your issue there. I don't think 2723 are progressive, easy to tell as the top of the springs on mine are thinner. Either way start spraying wd40 on the back until noise goes away. I would start with springs, then top shock mounts, checking if they are tight, and the spraying suspension pivot points one at a time until you find the noise. Suspension pivot points would need replayce if they are the issue as wd40 will not be a fix there

I believe only 2721's are progressive. I believe all the others are constant load springs. I'm sure someone else can verify that. I'll take a look and spray some lubricant up there, and make sure the shock mounts are tight. I'd be shocked if pivot points were the issue as this is a brand new cruiser. It only has 22,000kms on it.

I would check bumpers as well, if any thing is loose/ rubbing will make noise

I am preparing to install my BP-51's this weekend. I do not have a bullbar or winch on my truck and expected to set the preload to 0mm based on anecdotes here on Mud. After reviewing the fitting instructions this afternoon, I saw ARB recommends 10mm. What am I missing here? Should they be set to 0mm or 10mm?

I would go to 5mm preload stock.
You can do 10 if you hate forward rake.
Make sure your tires are set to PSI as per gaijin...not the door or installer shop’s whim. Most shops put way to much air which can mislead folks to assume their preload is too high.

Depends on how much lift you want and how firm a ride. 10mm more lift and firmer ride. I had 20mm pre bumper and ride was firm, but not bad, so if you want to have more lift go with 10mm

Interesting... my BP-51 doc broke it down between petrol and diesel engines...

Aside from that, I'd recommend 0-5mm without a bar, winch, or heavy stuff in the engine compartment like a second battery or twin ARB compressor.
