Builds Olive '78 Fj40

In case anyone is looking for a 79/80 valve cover....it is mis-labeled.

If anyone is interested in purchasing, I’m informally listing the 40 for sale. Prefer a word of mouth sale than any listing if I can avoid it.

$30k - includes 4 brand new, unmounted 35s.

I’ll keep the ARB if someone wants to knock $1500 off.

Did you change diff ratio's from stock 4.10?

My re-rebuild of my 76 is going to look eerily similar to Olive but with an alum tub/cowl and tank relocated to rear

I saw your for sale listing so just read this build from end to end. Awesome!! If I could get on a plane tomorrow and come and buy it I would. I doubt I’ll be so lucky for it to still be around when I am able to do so.

It's just money - I dare you

Just a quick question before your rig is sold and you forget all about it...

What's the little filter thingy on the left side of the VCV? On US models there's a line from that port to the air cleaner to allow valve to actuate freely. Not that it matters - there's no vacuum needed. Is it an ROW spec component or just something you added with your non-stock air cleaner?

P.S. - Good luck with the sale. 👍

I am so tempted to buy, but I can’t travel as my dog is too old to be left or to come along. If it were a BJ the money would be on it’s way regardless, I need to know more on the F, here our fuel is 10% Ethanol, that scares me with a new engine but even more one that is not designed for this horrible s**t through it!

Hire me to drive it to you.
I can’t afford it but it’s one of the best 40’s on Mud or anywhere.

There’s usually a few places that have non-ethanol gas. Try the link below to see if any are near you.

Edit: are you in the UK?
