1661 as far as I know was not used on the FJ40. But I could be wrong..

where can one buy these OEM paints from? I am getting ready and want to go with a Toyota paint color like the olive green?

If your local paint guys can't use the factory codes, you could always buy a few different samples of touch up from these guys.

Select The Year

Once you had a color, your local guys could scan and match that.

Here's the thread where that square bezel owner chimes in on his rig.

I'm almost thinking that Ralph's 40 is a 70 series olive.

And the plot thickens.According to Toyota Colour Codes Dulnain Green is Toy colour for 1970/71 but it is a metallic paint, so it seems our misterious green is not Dulnain.

However in the "ultimate Skinnies" thread we seem to have stumbled upon the actual owner of that truck. He however doubts if it was OEM. Further info pending....

If you're looking for T303 this might help, its from message #132 earlier in this thread.

I would like to see if anyone out there has T303. Its been called Fashion Green, and SAGE Green. PPG has T303 as Sage (44402 is there code), and the SCION web site calls it Fashion Green... Just wondering.. Thx

If I could find an inexpensive source of custom mixed rattle-cans I would purchase a can each of Breath and Fashion Green just to see what they look like on a larger panel. A 1x1" paint chip just doesn't tell you much.

I just realized that the numbers under each color chip on the chart posted by Greek (message 199 on this page) are current PPG codes.

Breathe Green is PPG#44399
Fashion Green is PPG #44402
Dunlain Green (metalic?) is PPG #44401

I assume pretty much any body shop can match a PPG color code.

Thanks Belaw, I am wanting the 653 Olive Green. I will start a search for it now, is PPG a company or brand of paint or both?

Rob

ordered the PPG olive green, picked it up this week and will paint my CDN M101 trailer with it first, it looks as descibed, olive green.

Here's a FJ45 in the as-yet unidentified Green (I'm still thinking Fashion or Breath Green). I emailed the owner and he didn't know the paint code, although he did say that it was a factory color.

Toyota 0416 Dune Biege?

This is listed on Ebay right now. I dig the color. Seller says it's Toyota 0416 Dune Biege and it was only on non-USA rigs. Doesn't look like any other dune beige I've seen but I like it. Can anyone confirm if this is a stock color?

I came across a color card that showed 6h9 "grayish olive," the color Eshu Elegua identified as our "mystery green." It appears to be close to "Fashion Green" used by Toyota in 1970/71, but with more of an olive tint.
