Just saw a fully built black 200 at Highland Park Village in Dallas. Don't know if it's a Mud member but was very slick with ARB front and rear and lift. Curious where they had the work done.

I wouldn't call bumpers and lift necessarily fully "built" when posting right after an actual "built" LC200

lol. yes, probably truer than you suggest

So I have a question. Does anyone have any acceleration issues while off road or driving up a steep incline? I was off roading this week and when climbing hills the 200 would completely bog down even with pedal almost to the floor. It is like something is holding it back. Other than this no issues driving
With the 4.6 V8 I've experienced this in the desert. If the rpm is too low it won't pick up and feel like it's being choked. Also when trans temps start climbing you'll feel the same issues. Solutions in my situation are either deflating tires, having more momentum or switching it into low range.

Were you in low range?

Sounds like when my lr3 is employing it's traction control or DSC when I want it to allow wheel spin on demand. Then I remember to turn off the DSC.

Sounds suspiciously like the electrical "assist" or "safety" functions have kicked in and prevented your acceleration.

I strictly run off-road in an "all systems off" scenario and may or may not try them if I find a need or want to test or play around.

In high range 'down and dirty' power is restricted. This is particularly evident in deep and cloying sand where engine revs are also restricted. Apparently it is a built-in protection designed to protect gear box and drive train. Switching to low range releases the Kraken and brings full power to bear.

My cruiser has no electronic aids aside from abs which I've disconnected, I've noticed the power cuts start when trans temps are aroind 90°c, by 100-110°c 50-60% power loss. I've only had it spike from 110 to 125 two or three times and by then you've got almost no power and all you can do is park it rev it and let the clutch fan suck in as much air as possible. This is usually in soft summer sand where ambient temps range 40-50°c

^^What he said

Power loss is a bitch. Especially when you need it most, like banging off the rev limiter going up a hill. I had heat soaking issues because of this and the only cure is to air down or cool down by using the clutch fan and gentle revving just as nomad said. However, both nomad and i live where the weather is devils piss hot anyway so we have our own set of specific problems.

Just got back to the main land from Kauai, damn I love that place... Only saw one 200 series the whole time I was there, a lifted white one, could not get a pic, it was heading the opposite way, looked super sweet!!! Saw a couple 80 series, one painted up in a Jurassic Park themed, loved and hated it at the same time;))) sucks to be home!

Sound good

@saltymethods on the 100's forum may have access to a spare rock warrior wheel and willing to part with it. Check it out if you're on the hunt.
Thanks
