Just saw a fully built black 200 at Highland Park Village in Dallas. Don't know if it's a Mud member but was very slick with ARB front and rear and lift. Curious where they had the work done.

With the 4.6 V8 I've experienced this in the desert. If the rpm is too low it won't pick up and feel like it's being choked. Also when trans temps start climbing you'll feel the same issues. Solutions in my situation are either deflating tires, having more momentum or switching it into low range. So I have a question. Does anyone have any acceleration issues while off road or driving up a steep incline? I was off roading this week and when climbing hills the 200 would completely bog down even with pedal almost to the floor. It is like something is holding it back. Other than this no issues driving

My cruiser has no electronic aids aside from abs which I've disconnected, I've noticed the power cuts start when trans temps are aroind 90°c, by 100-110°c 50-60% power loss. I've only had it spike from 110 to 125 two or three times and by then you've got almost no power and all you can do is park it rev it and let the clutch fan suck in as much air as possible. This is usually in soft summer sand where ambient temps range 40-50°cIn high range 'down and dirty' power is restricted. This is particularly evident in deep and cloying sand where engine revs are also restricted. Apparently it is a built-in protection designed to protect gear box and drive train. Switching to low range releases the Kraken and brings full power to bear.
