Hi All-
It looks like I might jump back into this and start selling kits. Happy for folks to use the drawings here to go on their own if they want. Dutchmen let me know they like the work but would prefer not to do them in onesie , twosies but instead do them in batches. I will also source the places, dowel pins and seals.

A couple questions:

1) Installing the shaft pretty much requires a tranny rebuild...would folks prefer that I supply the shafts with the rebuild kit or just plain shafts?

2) How many people want a kit in the first batch? I'm looking at batches of 10 probably.

Thanks,

Andy

What’s included in the kit?

TBD...at least the shaft and plate. Probably the seal.

Umm, well. I’m now down this production rabbit hole. I have plates stock in hand and getting ready to cut. I’m also pre-purchasing the shafts without waiting for a buy-in. So uh, how committed are you exactly :hmm:

Well I certainly don’t want to step on any toes. Last I had checked in it sounded like there were a few folks wanting them but no source yet. I’m game to buy them in quantity and sell them. I’m also happy for folks to source on their own...really just trying to revive this swap after the duiser debacle. It is a great and possibly affordable diesel swap option. I loved mine and have another truck I’m waiting to start on.

Last minute trying to fine tune the CNC file. Laser cut some acrylic to figure out the clearances needed.

Badass!

Can you make sure the shaft length on the NV4500 2WD main shaft is precise? I think Dutchman just cut mine extra long and are going to let me “trim to fit.”

Yeah that’s going to have to be a “measure 4000x, cut once” kinda thing

I’ve cut a shaft before for my AA splitcase adapter. Not bad at all with cutoff wheel. But yeah don’t cut it too short.

I need the lengths of the bolts used to fastener the stock Toyota transfer case to the stock Toyota transmission. I don’t have those handy.

I can measure them this afternoon when I get home unless someone beats me to it.
