wasn’t too sure were to ask this so I’ll ask here!

I’m in the market for a nutzert tool. There is about 50+ tools to pick from in different configurations.

So, what type are you guys using ?

How often are you planning on using it?
If it's just a few, there are lots of how-to videos inserting them w/o special tools.

Thanks for pitching in.
As you know one tool doesn’t do it all! If I get one that works in tight places it’s sure to work in open spaces.

When I look at the long handled tools I wonder if that limits it’s use?

Anyways I have 40 things to “nutzert “ then I won’t need the tool for 3 years.

Yeah, I like the less than $50 buck options

That one with the ribs on it might be good. I quit using nutserts years ago because, if the bolt is tightened down, the next time you try to remove it, the whole nutsert may end up just spinning and then they are a real pain to deal with. If possible, I always just mig or tig a real nut like it should have been done at the factory.

I have the same rivet nut astro tool, from amazon prime. Really like it. Myself I have never had one spin out on while removing a bolt. I use stainless steel bolts on virtually everything (except where Grade 8 is the only thing you should use) along with a good coating of anti seize for all fasteners. I don't use it a lot, but there are times it is the answer.

I bought one on Amazon that looks like the MArson. I have used it a lot with both Al and steel rivnuts. If I was doing a lot steel rivnuts in open spaces, I would get the large one as my tool struggles with large steel rivnuts. It hasnt broken, but it feels like it might. Heck, buy both tools! I have used them for all kinds of projects.

325rn by marson. I have had one and used it for over a decade now. good tool. Kind of expensive. Couldn't imagine something with less leverage working very well.

Get this one instead, you can go all the way up to M12. Then call them to order the SAE kit (it's cheap and if you are like me you will eventually use it). This is not built super tough, however, it gets the job done. The company stands behind their product, and the company's customer service is top notch. I have 100+ aluminum rivet nuts though mine.
