Got my new rubber filler neck from CCOT, so installed that, the gas tank, and cover. Also installed some door edge moulding.

Also installed passenger's side hood apron, and fender.

Also installed new turn signal assemblies.

Installed the emergency brake assembly, along with defrost hoses. I did test fit new eBay gas pedal assembly, which will be bead blasted, and plated. I still need to wet sand the dash and polish.

On the tire carrier bushings - did you put one bearing in the top and one in the bottom of the upper half of the upper hinge? And then does the pin get pressed back into the lower half of that hinge? Need to do the same to mine.

Same on the bottom hinge?

Disassemble both hinges by grinding welds.

For upper hinge, I removed the old plastic bushing, then press fitted both an upper and lower bushing, reinserted the pin, hammered on the lower half of the top hinge, and welded back together.

For the lower hinge, I did the same process, but only needed 1 bushing. The lower hinge bushing needed to be slightly wider in diameter than the uppers. It also had to be cut to make it a few mm shorter. I accomplished that by using a hacksaw blade while it was spinning on my lathe.

You may have heard me talking about my redneck lathe. Anyways, here it is: I take a piece, and chuck it up in my 1/2" drill. I then use bastard files, and various grit sandpaper to turn the piece to the desired diameter. Today's project, was turning 3 bronze bushings down to fit inside of the spare tire carrier hinges.

Turned out great.

Installed these cadmium plated clips for the lower dash pad.

Loosely fitted the floormat.

All the tedious restoring of all the little parts looks like it's really paying off. Awesome work Andrew, it's coming together great!

I now have a windshield assembly! New glass and weatherstrip too.

New grommet and new rear view mirror assembly.

New upper dash pad.

Installed door strikers.

Also installed windshield assembly gasket and ran the wiring harness, along with wiper fluid hose. That's a new OE grommet too.

what size hardware/screws are in teh lower dash pad? im referrign to the 6-7 across the lower span...not the large twist knob ones.....

They lower pads have #8 metal screws, iirc.

The upper pad has M5x0.8, IIRC.

@under_psi , I got all of it in stainless from Montgomery Ace.
