new fuel lines run. and reRun. I decided to eliminate the mechanical pump I have been running and nix the idea of the power surge system. makes sense for me because I'm relocating the battery, adding a plenum and inline filter for the snorkel and also adding the lines and all for the vintage air. Man-A-Fre aluminum fuel tank in too to replace the downey poly tank.

also added a 4plus rear tire carrier and basket swing out

slowly but surely. ive only have one day and a Sunday or two to piddle....

looks like @orangefj45 has me about buttoned up on the trans and transfer case......

to quote Georg, "it was cobbled together very poorly" and he mentioned the use of early front half case, late rear half and different year gear sets and some shaft being cut off and a bushing being milled down to make it work...

t case - new housings, gears, and a proper shifter!

and then there's the whole issue of the rock in the transmission.......new synchro, gear set, and main shaft....

likely would have exploded next time I put it in 4Lo.....

@wngrog - thanks for the help.....

finishing up some wiring and only lack a few details.......still....taking my time and hoping I haven't forgotten anything.
Don't forget the gear oil! Just sayin...

Lou got busy since last Tuesday. Lots of little stuff done

Final wiring at the terminal end is all and plugging stuff in. I see this thing running in a week.

I helped him stab the exhaust and install driveshafts. Then we made AC hoses.

I think all he needs now is time to button it all up.

Boom. Growl. Spit. Slobber.

We had the dissy 180 out. Took us an hour or two to slow down and do it right.

After that it smashed.

Cockpit

Engine bay is tight

3 months to pretty much rebuild everything on a Cruiser but the axles.

Not bad for a guy that works 80 hours a week

Can’t wait to drive that pile.
