There you have it. ASFIR hidden mount. It's $329 but they don't distribute in the US anymore.

The winch bracket is ASFIR which are no longer distributed in the US. Ship cost is very high, so we arent really able to offer these. You could try ASFIR Direct.

Yes I forgot to reference 37" size. 285.75.18 is the perfect "Toyota" oversize.

One of my favorite project vehicles is the 1998 UZJ 100- solid axle swap with 39" tires....God that thing was a beast. Looked unreal. :)

Cruise Moab was a great trip. We arrived to Moab late Tuesday night and led Hell’s Revenge Friday, the truck did awesome ON and OFF road. I never hit the front bumper, The rear I hit the right rear corner a couple times. I did some of the optional obstacles like one of the mild hot tub and Tip over challenge. I also got to do some 50 mph whoops with a truckload of people in the truck and it does awesome.

NOTE: The 4.88’s are essential. The gear change really improved performance and economy. Before the gear change I was averaging 10-12 MPG while on 35s with stock 3.90.
On this trip to Moab, I was traveling with another truck, a 100 series on stock gears and 33’s and He would put in 3 more gallons at EVERY fillup. 17.5 vs 20.5 g etc. One long pass he used 5 gallons more than me! I had cruise set anywhere between 70mph and 85 mph and averaged 15, with 17mpg on one of the tanks through salt lake stretch. The 200 has a .58:1 overdrive in 6th gear. Regearing for larger tires is especially important on the 200 Series, since the stock gearing is 3.90, which is WAY to high to stay in 6th gear on a stock truck, and is much worse on 35's. 4.88's and 35's put the RPM's right at 2000 RPM at 70 MPH, so the truck stays in 6th gear.

This was fully loaded to the ceiling with drawers, fridge, bike and rack, show displays, table, gears, axles, parts for show etc!

Seems you retained some decent gas mileage keeping stock bumpers and some aerodynamics. 17 on flatland is not bad.

You can still order the ASFIR HIDDEN MOUNT directly from ASFIR. I received my mount approximately two weeks after ordering it.

I’m interested in this option for my LX and found it on their website for $451 shipped to the US: Hidden Winch Mount
That was what I paid. Mr Leonard Solomon in Israel communicated with me throughout the transaction, they shipped it promptly, and it arrived in great shape about two weeks after the order. I believe you can order with confidence.

Very cool - thanks for the confirmation. Have you installed yet? What winch are you going with? I'm trying to keep the LX as mild as possible and think a hidden winch would be perfect.

No, I haven't installed it yet. It arrived just before Christmas and I haven't had time to get to it. I am getting down to Sparks for a Supercharger install in a couple of weeks and then I will get to the winch after that. I purchased a warn zeon platinum 10.5 that includes a remotely controlled clutch, since it will be very tight getting to the clutch handle without cutting more holes in the bumper or grill fascia. Other than that, I will try to do an install similar to Just Diffs excellent 200 series. I don't know yet that the warn will fit, but the control pack can be removed and relocated elsewhere in the engine compartment, so it should fit. I also ordered the extension kit for the control pack, and a factor 55 flat link that will sit under the cascadia "flipster" or tuffy flip up bumper license plate frame.

Sorry to bug ya with the same question but can you explain what was involved in using the Tundra rear shocks for the LC build? You mentioned a spacer being involved. Do you guys sell these or could you provide more info on it? I’d like to use a Tundra spec rear bypass if possible. Is it something a decent Fab shop could figure out? Thanks in advance.

@justdifferentials Just in case you’re not following this thread.

No idea if that ASFIR would fit a 16. You could contact ASFIR directly and check. They responded immediately to my inquiry a couple of months ago.

My good friend Nathan at Forge Specialties in Fredericksburg VA installed the Zeon Platinum with remote controlled clutch in the ASFIR, and cut out the OEM bumper fascia so that only the hawse fairlead is visible along with the Factor 55 folding shackle. My 40, 80 and 100 all have had winches in after market bumpers, but I am very happy with this install!

It is dark outside right now, and I don't have photos yet. I will post photos when I return from work related travel later this week.

How about some photos? :)

McGaskins, that's fair! When I got back from travel on Thursday night, Forge asked to keep it an extra week. I think Nathan is just enjoying driving a supercharged 200 series :). Since I could not get back down there to pick it up any earlier, I just asked him to also install a Harrop's in the rear diff. I owe you guys a writeup and photos so if Forge gives it back and the weather is good this weekend, I will get photos and pull a writeup together.

Lrowe would love to see pics!
