Your photo with the bike gave me nostalgia for years past when I used to ride often. Sold the bike a little over a year ago due to lack of use. Slow Friday in the office today so I hopped on marketplace and typed in "Surly". There it was, the bike I sold last year for sale by the guy I sold it to. Buying it back tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your photos!!!I was about 3 days in when I realized I hadn’t driven my 4Runner all week. So I thought I’d see if I could make it through the rest of the week without it.
I drove the 40 any time I had to go somewhere besides work (I have a company truck). I’ve managed to drive it at least once every day since Sunday. Sometimes it was down the road to church, sometimes it was into town (~30 minutes each way), sometimes it was ~an hour to go for a bike ride.
It’s been a fun week, really getting comfortable driving a 56 year old tractor everywhere.
Tomorrow (Saturday), I’ll take the 4Runner to the Toyota show because it’s a 2+ hour drive on 70mph freeways but I’ll still try to squeak some Cruiser time in as well.

Great story!! The last two years I really slacked off. Last year I had this black one built as motivation. Got a couple rides in and put it away. This year I’m finally making the effort to get back out at least once a week. Now I need to work up the courage to drag the full suspension out for some more exciting trails.Your photo with the bike gave me nostalgia for years past when I used to ride often. Glad to see the 40 getting a bunch of use!
Very cool, you are close to Mt. Tam, that must be a local ride for you. I have been looking for a ~'93-'96 Ibis Mojo forever - the one with the cool brake cable stop in the back from the Sebastopol days... seems a lot of them still around are still in the area. I have a '91 Bridgestone MB2 for now, but talk about a dream rig...Great story!! The last two years I really slacked off. Last year I had this black one built as motivation.
