Any news on the gray?

As a matter of fact, yes! They are being delivered today. Anyone who has expressed interest, will receive a PM from me, to get payment, shipping information, etc.

So which stich method is everybody using? A lot of the videos I’ve found show a 2 needle method. Not looking for anything fancy, just want to get this knocked out.

Toyota uses a single stitch, not a double stitch. If you want to do it right, I would suggest doing it like they do.

Im in for one in oak.

I have a proximately four or five Oak covers left. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Any grey left?

Yes, several. Running dangerously low on oak though. Need to get another order in. But my seamstress is tied up with filling Christmas orders for other customers.

Questions for those who have completed their wheel leather wrap. Did the current leather wrap come off in one piece by cutting the only the stitching? Thought that would make a good template for micro trimming any excess width. Also curious how you filed groves in the wheel so the seams lie flat?

Mine was double stich, it's possible it was redone at some point but did not look like it. That's why I ended up going that method vs the single stich like you showed. Either should work fine, single is probably easier and faster.

Yes it came off in one piece just by cutting the stiches. It will make a decent template but it will want to curl on you. I took mine apart into 4 pieces and put them under a heavy weight for a few days. Made a nice template in case I ever need to do it again. You could cut the notches in the foam with a razor knife easy enough. I did not notch mine at all and the seams lay flat enough, really feel like stock. Just take care to be sure the extra material lays down flat and is not bunched up.
