well what do you guys have that you like, or dislike?

our dish washer went bad last summer, and the wife has gotten 2 from creigs list and both have been junk, so we got our tax refund and a new dishwasher is on the list.

Frigidaire and Electrolux are garbage. I have had a Bosch for the past 5 months and love it as does my wife.

I like the bosch too toys...

take the door by each top corner and try to flex it back and forth....that will be a good barometer for some of the junk out there

I have a "higher end" frigidaire that I am happy with. Reasonably priced and pretty darn quiet. Cleans as well as any dishwasher I've used. We have Bosch dishwashers at two of our Fire stations, I would never buy one. The detergent doors on both have failed, they do not clean the dishes very well, the wheels fall off the baskets all the time, and they just look worn out well before their time should be up.

Always consult your manual if dishes are not being cleaned properly, chances are you are loading it wrong and blocking something. Always use jetdry or similar with Bosch/Asko, make sure you adjust the quantity squirted(in the manual).

the new bosch showed up this morning, so i finished installing it, install was easy, compared to that peice of crap GE. the wife already loaded it and you can not even here the thing running, at first the wife did not think it was running.

That's they they put that little red light on it, shining on the floor.

Enjoy. Still lovin' ours.

we have a bosch too and it's been great. nothing lasts in fire stations, we destroy washer/dryers/dishwashers constantly, we went to commercial brands and have had better luck.

My wife opened ours on Saturday to put something in. Right in the middle of the cycle. She was standing right next to it and couldn't tell it was running!

I don`t know about the Bosch.

We got an expensive ($1200 and it nearly killed me to spend the money) Bosch a year ago, and I really don`t think it washes any better than much cheaper models. It is very quite though.

We have had no problems with it yet but it seems to be a little less quite than it was a year ago.

We didn`t have a dishwasher for the past 8 years, and I kind of like doing dishes by hand. It is mindlessly therapudic. But with the new kitchen, it was a no brainer to put one in. If only for resale some day in the future.

In previous homes we always had cheapo units and other than the noise, they worked great.

I think you should have bought her a stainless steel colored dress so she matches the other appliances. Much cheaper!!! :hillbilly:
